it's so annoying how no matter how many times dina addresses how hurt she is about the comments she gets, no matter how many times sid speaks up for her, there will always be judgemental muslims. it's not your job to "set her straight", my step mum is not a hijabi but i am, guess what? SHE is the one who gets up for fajr every single day and makes sure i do too. it's ridiculous, and it's BULLYING. stop ripping her to shreds, YOU yourself are not perfect either. what another person does to practice their faith has nothing to do with you, stop sucking ass for drama. EDIT: omg to the girlies hyping me up in the comments i love you guys!!! may Allah bless the last days left of ramadhan for you all 😘 so reassuring to know that not everyone is shallow minded

Dina's hijaab is just that, DINA'S HIJAAB. She is an educated individual that knows her religion and tries her best, these matters are between her and Allah alone. Nobody has the right to criticise her publicly, none at all. Leave her be, may Allah guide us ALL!!

You guys should do a video about Ali Banat. I know it’s a bit late as he passed away a couple of weeks ago but I just watched his videos and they are so emotional and inspirational. His story is so powerful and it truly sends an important message out to the world about our main purpose in this life. Reminds me of the quote “Life is not guaranteed at all but death is absolutely guaranteed upon all, yet we still prepare for life more than death”. Brother Ali realised that and Alhamdulillah managed to change his life for the better. May God bless his soul and grant him the highest level of Paradise and may God guide us all to prepare for our meeting with Him and not run after worldly desires ameen.

I’m glad Dina had her “ramble”, it was much needed. Some of the comments people post are unbelievably judgemental and very predictable. If you can’t accept Dina for how she is, then simply don’t follow her. There is more to hijab than the external form. None of us are perfect & we should focus on bettering ourselves rather than looking for faults in others....ok, that’s my “ramble” over!

Mad thing is i wore jilbab frm yr 11 then at 21 ish i started wearing niqab. Islam wasnt in my heart at all. Now i just wear abaya and scarf and have never felt more close to my deen. I understant both sides to this hijab debate but its definitely confusing af. Were all on our own journey and we just need to do what we feel is best for ourselves . Literally Allah is not gona ask you what dina or xyz wore on their head or not. Youre gonna be asked on YOU and those undert your protection/ around you ect. Focus on yourselves! If watching people on yt effects you so much stop watching and read some quran lol

D D it’s because your faith is not determined solely by a piece of cloth on your head.i mean,it is compulsory so it is good, but there’s so much more to following Islam that is weighed more in reward, for example I know some hijabis who wear hijab but don’t pray.

D D mashallah sister, I would just like to say that may Allah guide us all closer to him and appreciate his blessings, alhamdullah we are Muslims. And concerning niqab there is a strong clash between scholars whether it is fardh or not and I also follow the position that it not obligatory and Allah knows the best , may Allah accept our intentions and deeds. Ramadan Kareem, as-salam alaykoom 😊. Have a nice day

More people need to see this video. As someone who is considering converting to Islam, I am constantly disgusted by Dina's comment sections. So many of you are giving Muslims a bad name; is it not enough that media does this? Honestly, every time you fix your fingers to angrily bang on your keyboards to tell off another hijabi youtuber or blogger, think about all the potential converts that you are scaring away. How will you answer for that in the end? Do better. Dina, thank you for all that you do. I didn't start to look into Islam until I started watching your videos. All the best with your pregnancy, and Ramadan Mubarak!!!

It's true though. If someone does not wear a scarf properly then their actions also do not align with the hijab. Hijab is more than just a scarf. It's all about presentation and being modest by character. If someone isn't going to be a good ambassador to the faith, then they should remove it and go on with their lives.

As a non-Muslim woman watching your videos I completely respect and value you as a human and as a Muslim. I have met Muslims who openly judge others in front of me which has actually at times given me an extremely negative view of Islam and of the Islamic community however, when I meet people and families like yours (online or in person) my view of Islam is peaceful, non-judgemental, loving and open. I hope any Muslim reading this who openly voices judgment on anyone for what they class as a ‘sin’ stops for a moment to realise that what you are doing is actually representing Islam in a negative light. Hana is so beautiful!!! I hope your family have a blessed, healthy and happy future. Xxx

I just love how people choose to talk about Dina's hijab and not Sids. The verses for men's hijab came before women's, so how about all the men that comment on Dina's hijab go and chuck their skinny jeans and short shirts in the garbage before opening their mouths, and maybe even their eyes considering they are not lowering their gaze. And all the women that choose to comment on her hijab chuck the label of Muslim, Feminist and even human out the window, since these type of comments don't suite a decent human being.

Dina, you are not just an amazing muslim role model, but also a feminist role model for non-muslims like me. People need to give women room to make their own choices, even if they don't agree with those choices. People call me a bad christian for having gay friends, but they forget the most important part of being religious , which is to be a good person and treat other people well, the people in your comments should be reminded of that.

I am not a Muslims, I had thoughts about converting once but the comments from Muslim are sick, extreme and rude in 90% I can see under other KZbinrs and this is just messed up. And btw guys saying that 'focus on religion not people' is not really helpful since Muslims show what Islam looks like in some part so it's hard to be avoided.

I'm sorry about that. People can be so horrible and it never ends. I converted 4 years ago and if i hadn't met some laid back chill muslims who don't care about appearances and what other people think i would have never converted. Once i wore a bow on my scarf to the mosque and this lady was so rude saying I was sinning and i was just trying to get attention from men. People don't think their behavior or nasty comments should be taken as an example of how islam is but the fact is that it is. Making rude comments in an attempt to "help " someone is normalized and its seen as ok and their relgious obligation. Which is rude in most western cultures.

If it wasn’t for Dina, I wouldn’t be wearing my hijab. I stopped wearing it the way people wanted me to wear because of Dina. The way everyone thought it should be worn had me dislike it. I was getting frustrated and was close to taking off but wen I came on to Dinas channel and saw that you can actually style ur hijab and still be covered and modest, I fell in love with the hijab again. I do all sorts of styles now and actually look forward to wearing it everyday unlike a year ago were I felt like I was wearing something I started to actually hate. I’m sure dinas helped a lot of woman with the hijab yet all she gets it’s sh*t from other Muslims. We’re supposed to be the least judgement people yet we’re the most judgemental. Makes no sense!

They’re are numerous people who are adamant on the fact that the way Dina wears her hijab will influence all the young hijabis. Dina has done her research and whatever else she does is between her and god. Young hijabis should also do their research before deciding to wear it. My younger sister turned 16 recently and she wanted to start wearing it. After a while, she became hesitant and I never once told her that she was this and that for wanting to take it off. Some people are blessed with wearing the hijab and having ease and others are not. After a while my sister became what some may call ‘a part time’ hijabi and she wore it when she felt like she wanted to. Now I’ve advised her to do her own research and find out what suits her best and I think she couldn’t have been more happier. However some girls don’t have a choice but alhumdillah my mother is a convert and so she understands the struggles more. My father has never once made us wear it but he has given us advice and left us to it. And all of my siblings have wore it in our own terms, and timing. My older sister just turned 39 and she is beginning to wear it. Some might feel as if that is too late but she felt like it was the right time for her and she is so much more content. I just feel so bad and angry at all those people attacking. I just wish they weren’t so quick to judge. 💖 I, myself, went through this stage where I wore it on and off depending on my mood and just this year I have managed to wear it without removing it but that’s been so difficult. This is why I want my sister to really understand what she’s going into before she starts and then turns back.

Yeah...i wear turbans only sometimes. And if people have anything to say then obviously there is something wrong with them...not me. That's just as bad as men who objectify women for their bodies and expecting them to show skin. Our bodies are our own and no one else's and we can do as we see fit. I converted 4 years ago and i can say the muslim community is literally the most judgmental bigoted and Hypocritical community I've ever had the misfortune of being a part of. If i hadn't met some laid back chill muslims who don't care about appearances and what others think you, I would have never converted. We care more about if a person "appears" muslim than if they actually have faith in their heart and are sincere.

That statement about how the muslim community is so vicious towards their own community and people is so true. The judgment we get is so insane, hijabi or non hijabi. Dina say it louder so the people at the back can hear!

I converted to Islam 3 years ago, and stopped practising it because of people comments. You guys needs to realise that your comments are not wanted and they aren't an advice that Allah will praise. She has a family, no one else needs to give her their unwanted advice

Muslims should be united and not divided just because of how his brother/sister practices his religion. We are already facing difficulties with racists, how come we're so cruel with our own people?

Mani 2016 Oh is Islam a race? I had no idea. Tell me more. Also explain why Muslims would travel TO a racist country? As opposed to flee from

Ava Karkekian No, Islam is a religion. Race is different from religion. There is no such thing as a racist country. In a country, there might be racists but there are also good people. The same way with Islam and any other religion, its followers are not perfect but that doesn't mean it is evil.

Subhan'Allah. Apparently the guy was an Algerian from France that had mental health problems. His mother passed away in Makkah 7 years ago and he went into severe depression since. This incident should be a reminder to all of us that praying and surrounding yourself with good doesn't mean that you're okay. Mental health shouldn't be compromised, just because it's something you cannot see doesn't mean it's not there. There's no shame in seeking help. The lack of awareness Muslims have about mental health is honestly disturbing. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun.

Wether that person was going through a lot or a little everyone should do dua for him. But for someone to take that step in the holiest place during the holiest time of year, they must've been at their last straw. Inshallah he has a place in jannah.

I agree with you guys the Muslim community is just destroying it's reputation and all they do is judge others like I'm 100% sure most of those Muslims who are only looking at other people's lives aren't religious.. Dina, never listen to those people, it is your right to wear whatever you want and no one should shame you/ judge you based on what you wear because it is not all about appearance 💗 I'm 14 so I mightn't have explained myself really well but hope you get my point💗

Hi Dina, after years of watching your blogs this one finally triggered something in me to write a comment. The dilemma of wearing or not wearing hijab is something I went through almost 10'years ago after I moved to Switzerland at which point I was already 13 years into wearing a headscarf during this time I managed to carve out a successful career, travel the world, make an impact with my life in the way I wanted to and still feel perfectly comfortable with my expression of spirituality and love for Islam. I have the most amazing friends (non Muslim) who are like family to me, the same people who accepted me with a headscarf and without. I learnt for myself that the Hijab/headscarf is a garment that I loved to wear and and one point I didn't want to. And that's the point, I wanted to take it off, just like I wanted to put it on years ago. And who knows maybe I will change my mind again. It is my choice, my Islam, my dress code, my expression of my spirituality. No community, trolls, colleagues, family, haters, or whoever have a right to impose their opinions or judgment on me. That's what I will teach my nieces and anyone else who cares to listen. Mashallah, you are a super smart woman, follow your heart and continue to be your authentic self.....it's authenticity that sets you apart from so many. I look forward to hearing your musings regardless of what you wear. Salaams from Zurich. Shazia

Hijab is a struggle that most people go through, struggle to keep it on for the sake of Allah, and it is between the individual and Allah noone else! But people like to interfere not realising they end up causing more damage then good, they end up making the individual not want to wear it in most cases.. but on another note love your ramadan vlogs guys, ive been vlogging aswell come and watch xx

Also, you can’t say a women is wearing hijab how she sees fit or how’s she’s comfortable. You can’t change Islam to our liking, that’s what your saying because it says one thing and your doing your own thing. Islam is not customizable. Wallah Islam is so easy to follow and yet we make it so hard.

Samira Shehadeh it may be easy for you but everyone has their own struggle that you may never be able to relate to or understand. Your are not a perfect muslim yourself and an area you may struggle in she might be finding easy. She's not saying islamic rules are different for everyone but everyone has their own levels of modesty. Some wear full niqab etc some turban and some notbing. This is just one part of Islam theres several other more important things yet she gets so much critisism over this. She knows the rules and is an adult who can make her own choices without strangers breathing down her throat

I understand what your saying and I know she’s a grown adult and can make her own decisions. I never said I was perfect everyone’s struggling trust me that’s just life but I can’t make Loop holes for myself because i am struggling it’ll take time don’t get me wrong but eventually she will have to wear the hijab the right way.
