@@jingleball2427 Yeah but that would mean he has to work and sell something. The reason this scheme is so attractive to talanted guys like him, is because they can make kickbacks and cruise doing zero effort. They just need lackeys under them to make money. I'm sure Alejandro is a smart guy and would be a great salesman. But the reason he isn't, is because he doesn't want to work a real job that takes time and effort. In the MLM structure, as long as he put in the work of dragging enough people in his network, he never has to make a sale because he is going to be getting the kickbacks from all the suckers under him. Alejandro may have good intentions. But respectfully, he doesn't know d**k about the financial services industry, the products he sells, or what real financial planning is. He doesn't know it yet, but he is not insuring people's retirement (at 19:43) - he is destroying it. And to make matters worse, it sounds like he is primarily selling to minorities. It's sad. *To everyone reading: Indexed Universal Life insurance is almost always an awful fit for the customer. Buyer beware.*
@Carlos-sn1rk Жыл бұрын
My understanding is that it’s a increasing term life, the cost of insurance goes up annually. Your “gains” are supposed to cover the cost. The product never performs according to the illustration. Can you add anything to this?
@titonothere6179 Жыл бұрын
That’s bc these life insurance agents aren’t in the business of insurance they’re in the recruiting and building business. I believe that’s why PHP partnered up w/ integrity, marketing group so they can use them as the brains and PHP the marketing side. I don’t think these PHP agents know the difference between term and permanent insurance at the end of the day and what’s even more scary these are the agents training them!
@tommymodec Жыл бұрын
@@Carlos-sn1rk That is mostly correct. There are many things that can go wrong if a policy is not designed in the customer's best interests, which requires the agent to drastically cut their commissions so the customer can "overfund" their policy. Because PHP and WFG already pay their agents horribly enough as it is, that is not a reasonable thing to expect. And no, these policies basically never perform as they are advertised and sometimes even lapse, leaving the customers without life insurance or the cash value they were hoping to build up in their policies and use to fund their retirement. *Bottom line: the IUL is a very complex financial product. The average PHP or WFG rep does not understand it enough to sell it to recruits or customers. Based on what Alejandro says in this interview, I get the impression even he doesn't understand what he is selling.* I don't want to dive much deeper into the weeds in the comment section, but I hope that helps!

Great video Marco. Next thing to look into with these insurance MLM's like PHP and WFG, is the actual life insurance policies they're selling to people. Many of these agents are now pushing IUL's (Indexed Universal Life) where they make massive commissions (or at least the MLM company does), but the policies are extremely risky for the clients. So he mentions at around 17:00 about his client accessing 80% of the death benefit because of a heart attack, which is a great benefit of the policy (called living benefits). However, if you look deeper into the policy, if it's an IUL, they are almost always set up to lapse when the client gets older and the client loses everything, plus gets a massive tax bill.

As a former cellphone sales person, no, the managers do not get a piece of your commission. You sell whatever you can, and if the whole store gets to a point, then they get a bonus, but otherwise they get paid only salary. You could be there for two hours after close answering questions and signing papers, and you'll get two hours of over time and the commission, but if the store doesn't meet its target, they'll get nothing extra for staying two hours with you.
@derekbk9093 Жыл бұрын
If you close cell sales you are helping them profit, of course get paid for comp and time not that different from what he is talking about in this video. Obviously less levels than PHP.
@janewaysmom Жыл бұрын
@rivervisuals444 I've worked in sales in multiple companies for multiple types of products, and it's been that way for all of them. The only time I worked somewhere where the manager would get something extra for staying the two overtime hours was at the car sales place, because they were on commission of they got the customer to buy warranties and to get the customer to finance through the car company. That's a separate commission that didn't come out of the salesperson's pocket. Most managers are on a salary with performance bonuses, because it's most beneficial to the company employing them. If you're working somewhere that the manager is taking a portion of your commission, there's a good chance you're being scammed. The way I've described is the way every sales profession I've been around works. If a manager gets commission, it comes from selling something only they can sell, or it comes from a sale in which the rep was not involved. Otherwise, they're almost all salary with performances bonuses. Also, I've never worked anywhere that wasn't an mlm with a "compensation plan". They have commissions, which they make easily available and usually call the document with them listed something like "commission structure 2017" or "2023 spring has sprung bonanza" if it's a limited time promotion, or some other similar thing.

As a car sales person, one advantage I see in his business is the residuals. I can be the best sales person in my dealership but I will still have to start from zero every month and never ever get residuals. If you join an MLM, your goal would be to sell the product but MAINLY to recruit to get residuals. There’s only so many appointments you can handle a day, but if you build a huge team you can sell so much more. I’m not in an MLM but this video actually sold me on it. As long as the product is legit, why not work to build a team and get paid for having a team? Am I seeing this wrong? This guy might be a killer sales man at a dealership or at farmers but he will never have residuals or a team duplicating itself. I might just dm this guy to join.
@AlwaysMarco Жыл бұрын
It’s not passive income. You still have to be constantly recruiting. “Passive income” is part of the big lie used to entice people. It sounds sensible, but in application is mathematically impossible. (5 x 5 x 5 etc)
@wtmulkey3 ай бұрын
@@AlwaysMarco you don’t have to continue to recruit. So long as those under you continue to sell and expand. You’re good to go. Only the strong survive. Every single business out there is set up like this. MLM gets a bad rap because majority of people can’t sell but want salesman money. Keep complaining and we will keep earning and helping people who need it.

@everythingmartialartsandcomics2 ай бұрын
@@wtmulkey yeah no you have to continue to recruit because selling any product in an mlm is usually terrible and cheap and that’s why they focus on recruiting. Vemma back in the day would charge $3 a can for selling it while Red Bull at that time was 99 cents and much better or monster. This is why all of these mlms suck.

I have a unique perspective on this, I was on Alejandro’s team when I was in PHP. Worked directly with him for years. The truth is he is a man child that throws temper tantrums. Anybody that has ever been on his team long enough can attest to that. It’s probably the reason so many left him or transferred to other teams and found success there instead. In this video you don’t see the real Alejandro, this is all a front to come off as legitimate lol Although he is very passionate and is a hard worker, as a human being he’s a piece of sh*t. He claims to be a Jehovah’s Witness and a family man but yet has cheated on his wife multiple times and probably still does to this day. What version of him you’ll get depends on if he’s taken his medication yet. So if you get an opportunity to work with this dude just save yourself the trouble and stay away.

When Marco asked him: “Is this REALLY YOU?” I had to stop the video for 10 minutes and just digest what just happened. To ask him: “Is this REALLY YOU?” Made me flashback to the time I’ve spent in an MLM for 4 years and experience all of the eager, motivated, and determined marketers within my company try to basically replicate, copy & paste, carbon copy their entire identity and personality to the top marketer in the company. Down straight to the mannerisms, the vocal inflections, their speech patterns, even to their daily habits and copy word for word what they would say to the people they were selling to. Alejandro is essentially an exact REPLICA of Patrick Bet-David. His entire identity is Patrick Bet-David. It’s entirely creepy, uncomfortable, and unsettling to see. Especially while I remember all of the marketers in my (former) company, some whom were my friends, be exact replicas of the top people in the company. Incredibly disturbing. Kudos for Marco for have the gall to ask another man that because that’s the craziest shit I’ve seen in a while.
