Lived in Shetland during '78/79, and went to Dunrossness Primary for P7 (Mrs. Colvin). I don't remember the bag 'aff term - but... I was about 11 back then! I do remember the halls; Caa'in the sheep in Unst; the Boys Brigade - what fun!; picking periwinkles for boiling; being termed a "soothmoother"; learning the fiddle; snow; UpHelly Aa; Sumburgh Airport was exciting back then with Sullom Voe development wrapping up. I'm thinking Marjolein is a descendant from the Spanish Armada crashing on the shores of Shetland. It's the dark hair... When there, my mom was the "Drama wifie" at Anderson Secondary in Lerwick. Fun to hear the accents of Glasgow, Shetland. Rachel's is harder to locate.
