As much as I can appreciate the need for evolution - as a long-time follower of a few vloggers - this format doesn't lend itself to having a third person cameraman. It's not just because it's touristy. Kurt just doesn't fit in SEA. It's not his vibe, style, culture. He doesn't like the locals, he doesn't like the foreigners, he doesn't give a shit about the culture and he disrespects everything there is to disrespect. It's alright, you think you are better than them and you prefer rougher, more energertic and straight to your face places where you can speak the language, already know about the culture etc. Why not leaving instead of directly and indirectly insultung and devaluating everything and everyone you see in a direct or indirect way? It's not their fault you have to sell you ass for money or spend time at a place that you are disgusted by. Nobody forces you to train Muay Thai in Thailand. A bit sad to see Kurt being so negative about Thailand. It has much more to offer than this! If you go to all the mass tourism infected places like KSR in BKK, Lopburi and Koh Samui, you can expect the backpack wearing elephant people in every corner of the Soi. Just like going to Ton Sai In Koh Phi Phi only to complain about all the annoying touts and drunk tourists you will find there... I'd love to see Kurt venturing in the more laid back off the beaten track places that don't see so much tourism, just like he does in South America.

Yeah it's kinda hypocritical of him to bash Thailand in it's super popular spots. He always says to go into the "barrio's" and dangerous neighbourhoods when he's travelling, but if he just sticks to going in mega tourist spots in SA it would be the same. I enjoy some of his videos but if all he wants to see is big booties and cocaine he should just stick to Latin America.

@@KonstantinJancetovic Yeah, I mean why not travel to 'the slums' of Khlong Toei, supposedly one of the most dangerous areas of BKK, and mingle with the locals there. Or take Tuk Tuks, play stupid and see what those scammers are up to when they drive you to a dodgy gem place and make you buy stuff. Head to the Isaan for a road trip and small town life in one of the poorest Changwat's of the country or head up in the mountains to the Hmong people and hangout in their villages. So much things to do and see that could lead to interesting content rather than doing Muay Thai in Koh Samui and complain about Thai food. Did you notice, when he steered away from KSR and went to the lesser known areas of BKK for some beetle nuts with crazy locals, he really seemed to like it a lot. There's so much interesting small town life with interesting people going on in Thailand.

Samui was a gold mine 30 years ago. I went back in 2006 and almost cried when I saw what had become of the place. Of course if it is your first time by all means go. I am in Phuket now and back after 33 years. Leaving soon again. Nothing for me. It is so packed with tourists that it is almost unbearable. Not my kind of place anymore.

If I wanted to experience Thailand for the first time, Koh Samui is the last place I would want to go. I went there once and didn’t like it at all , dirty beaches, no culture ,over crowded and very expensive. There are so many nicer places to visit in Thailand.

I went to a snake show in Koh Lanta with my girlfriend and we had the place to ourselves. There also wasn't a high wall separating me from the snakes, but just a low dip in the ground where the dude dropped the snakes. Some of them got a little too close for comfort. The dude showed me one of the snake boxes that had a big hole in the top and told me that a huge python had forced its way out and disappeared into the brush after eating a couple of their chickens. That thing is probably still out there somewhere as we speak.
