*Look how she's dressed! Completely natural oozing nothing but talent! Female singers these days wouldn't even come close to the legend that is Debbie Gibson!!!! Give me a like if you agree!!! I don't want likes, I just want acknowledgement that people agree with me!*

Debbie wrote her own songs, played instruments, sang naturally and not force, and moved around on stage with the confidence of one years ahead of her. As one who is around h.school aged kids w/ my job, I tell you, this was a great era to be around them. An underrated era in pop history in my opinion. Her proof of talent lies in the Broadway work Debbie's done since her pop years.

I loved Debbie Gibson from the very beginning. Saw her perform live at a small dance club in Cleveland, OH I think in 1986 or 87. I even got to meet and talk with her and her mom afterward. Still have a picture of Debbie with me and a buddy. A couple years later she was huge and saw her at Blossom Music Center near Akron. My friends and I had front row seats. This was before cellphone cameras were a thing and taking pictures at concerts was forbidden. I smuggled a disposable camera into the concert duct taped to my leg. Took a bunch of pics during the concert until security saw me and confiscated the camera. Lol, I am still sore about that 🙂

I have all Debbie Gibson Cassettes, NKOTB and most 80's but since they switched to CD's very hard to find a cassette player but it is much better watching the videos. The 80's was the best era of music. When our kids grow up they will think this is the best era right now cause music these days are getting worse. The 80's was all about being positive.

I'm only 21 but I grew up listening to her Electric Youth album. I just love all the songs. It all have meanings unlike music today. My favorites in this album are We Could Be Together and Helplessly in Love. Her songs are just so innocent and there's no trace of indecency. And her voice! My goodness! She ran around the stage and her voice was still perfect! Unlike most in this generation! Ugh. I am so jealous of who were born in the 80's! :( For those who clicked thumbs down, you're just insecure because your idols are nowhere near her! :P
