Thank you Debbie. Great explanation of what is happening in England in reading instruction. Here in the United States we face the same challenge. Progress is being made here by introducing courses in systematic, synthetic phonics instruction and how to teach it in our colleges education. Not as many as we need for sure, but it is a start. Since English is an official language in more than 60 nations this is truly an international matter. Thank you for your tireless efforts in England. We benefit from your wisdom here as well.
