6:54 Debbie's right, you'll never see these stitches, but instead of stitching willie nillie, I use this opportunity to practice towards invisibility. I try to to do my best work. One thing I learned doing this was my thread was too course. Now that I use finer threads, the stitches seem to disappear better. If practice makes perfect, take these hidden places to do your best practicing. 💖🌞🌵😷

Definitely going to make these but will use the adjustable circle cutter, I treated myself to when I cut 400 circles for a cathedral window quilt otherwise even if I drew a line it would cut wonky

Question: You have this pattern in one of your books and it says you can use oilcloth at the bottom. Where would I put the bottom in those four layers? Thanks!

They are in Half Yard Vintage, the bottom piece goes right sides down over the two half circles, and oilcloth is a great idea!

The observervation still stands: why would anyone want to cover their glasses with tacky cloth covers. It defeats the purpose of elegance, simplicity and sophistication....

On the other hand people write and express worse things than that and others dont ever care of more significant matters when they should. Don't overcatastrophy everything as simple as this comment. You could personalize each one with different colors, appliques, embroidery, decorative stitches, names, whatever you wish. For informal parties/occasions when people are walking about and mingling, each guest can differentiate their drink from another's glass by these coasters. Also, some drinks will sweat (condensation) which will leave ugly rings on expensive/antique/heirloom furniture when people have no manners and will set their drink on any flat surface.
