This is sort of plausible but in reality most people don’t think about interest rates if they own a home the interest rates are locked in and the price of “thing’s”are coming down this stuff applies to maybe home builders and small businesses. A small percentage of citizens are thinking about this crap. This is a couple of guys doing an info commercial

Gawd!!! HOW many morons ARE there out there??!! Gold has NO USE; therefore NO 'VALUE'. Reality beckons:- Imagine a starving African (or, soon, starving american!) village. Then park a truckload of gold in the main square. Next, park a truckload of BigMacs at the other end of the square and see which truck gets mobbed by the residents.

A lot of people think gold took off when Nixon took the US off the gold standard but in reality it began a year earlier when the US could not return Germany`s gold in a timely manner. In The Wealth of Nations, it says that gold tends to go from poorer countries to richer ones. The repatriation of gold around the world is likely to lessen the amount of gold stored in places like Fort Knox.

Given the persisting global economic crisis, it's essential for individuals to focus on diversifying their income streams independent of governmental reliance. This involves exploring options such as stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies. Despite the adversity in the economy, now is an opportune moment to contemplate these investment avenues.
@joshbarney114

The pathway to substantial returns doesn't solely rely on stocks with significant movements. Instead, it revolves around effectively managing risk relative to reward. By appropriately sizing your positions and capitalizing on your advantage repeatedly, you can progressively work towards achieving your financial goals. This principle applies across various investment approaches, whether it be long-term investing or day trading.

Investing in gold is a reliable choice, and I plan to keep buying more to make up for my losses. While silver is also a good investment, my collectibles are not as similar. 31:40, it is not that the Americans did not learn, or fell into a trap. This has been planned and executed for 100 years now. The goal of the fed was to ultimately help create or force one world government. All of this debt is to create dependency on government, limit mobility and speech, and ultimately depopulation. The depopulation will be starting this winter. China crops have been destroyed, not all but enough to cause starvation. They know what they are doing. The hardest part of their plan is timing. How come all you out-of-the-woodwork 'experts' never make the point that gold's supposed 'value' (in reality it HAS no 'value'!) is reckoned in DOLLARS (or some other decreed CURRENCY?) When 'currency' collapses (as it's on the point of doing right NOW) HOW TF do you intend to determine the price of gold???? ANY 'value' can ONLY be determined by USEFULNESS, ie 'NEED': and gold has NONE.Nobody NEEDS it! You certainly can't eat it; nor even wipe your arse with it!

@@dabbbles You are right, gold is not eating, but people always need to have a way to preserve value. Grain is much more important indeed, but you can't store grain and other foods at your home in needed quantity and condition to can eat them let say 1 year later. That should be done by specialized companies in specialized store buildings, what you DO NEED is to give something to those companies and they to give you food in quantity you need. And here Gold comes into place. Please read the 3 main conditions that money should be corresponding, they are set by Aristotle 2300 years ago. Gold answered to all those 3, FIAT money answered only 2 of them and failed now on 3 - to preserve value. How could a value be preserved when the money is increased fast by printing them by FED? And when this is beneficial to only part of the world - Western countries (from which I'm) - how Asia, Africa, Latin American countries be happy to use dollars to make the USA / Europe live better, while they live BAD? But if the interest goes up in the US, or some major disruption happens, this lot is in trouble. The Dollar smile and all that. Just looked at the Fed dot plots. Average forecast is for about 5 cuts by end 2025 and 3 or 4 more by end 2026. Meaning ¼% cuts. They won't let me post the page location, I'm sure.🙄 It's easy to find.

Why would real estate lose value just because it's priced in fiat currency? Surely as the currency lost value, the price of the property would rise.

After hearing this discussion, I am stupid to be short SBUX when I can take the loss and buy gold from Alasdtair! My original buy price was higher than today's price, but it suddenly leaped higher, leaving me shy of $400 instead of more than $1500.

The Dollar is far from being in the worse situation. Japan's debt is 240% of GDP (if you count all means of debt, almost 400%), Europe has many countries with over 160% GDP. In China you can't trust as the state practices "market control" and has the largest credit bubble in the history of mankind. Australia is also on Bubble Mode. England is swallowing the hard square Brexit pill and it's stuck in the throat. What is left that has a market cap ? Some would say: Swedish Krona and Swiss Franc, but these economies don't have the market cap. I own gold myself and I believe he is right on in many accounts. But 60% of all world debt is denominated in Dollars. I see no way out other than people in Washington wising up and doing what is technically right (and not politically convenient).

Paul, you sound like a typical Russophobe, not a financial analyst. Russia is going great economically and will continue to do so after the war is concluded. The Russian military hardware that is destroying sub standard western equipment will be in high demand bringing in lots of hard currency. The civilian side of the economy is growing faster than the military side thanks to sanctions. They have almost no debt, they lost 300 billion of foreign reserves, and still their economy is growing faster than any western country. They are sitting on the largest deposits of mineral, oil and gas resources in the world too. How you can say this prosperity is due to the war is beyond me.

They will cheer on the Hunger Games when they come.

People selling gold means they need the currency. The world is short US dollars as $44T to 88T of credit has to be eliminated. And this will continue. I suspect deflation will soon go out of control. AM knows this becuase he understands leverage. You may have bought an entire block in Berlin for 1 gold coin but by 1945 you werent in good shape especially on the east side. Your city block was probably a pile of rubble

Paul, has a distorted view of the Russian economy. Chinese parts inferior to western parts?!? War economy when military spending is at 6.8% of spending!?! I guess that he missed all the Russian businessmen who returned home and are investing in all the low hanging fruits in the Russian economy. Most of that growth comes from investment, not military spending. Try reading Nabiulina’s statements on the Russian economy rather than listening to the BS coming from the western media. And I guess that Paul has yet to understand that China owns all the supply chains, has an industrial capacity which is 1.5 bigger than the collective west combined and as of this year is zooming past western companies in the last area in which it was trailing, semiconductors. And guess what Russia has access not only to all those industries but also to all the research done by the Chinese. Is it any surprise that they suddenly are coming out with their own EUV machines and are collaborating on optical semiconductor and computer research with India given that China is far ahead in this area. Finally who is suffering more? Russia who has almost every resource that it needs for both industrial production and for feeding itself and can obtain anything it needs at better quality and a lower price in China or the collective west, whose energy costs have exploded upwards so much that Germany has been de-industrialised? It’s obvious!

The idea of getting out of credit seems illogical. Why, if you've borrowed in a collapsing currency in an inflationary spiral won't the asset against which you borrowed have held its real value while you'll be paying back in devalued currency?
