Drunk History, I adore you! I’ve been waiting for this story for years! I’ve known about Deborah since my young, dorky, library perusing, biography reading, days as a kid. And Paget tells it sooooooo well! It twists me up inside when people say, “Why didn’t they teach this in school?!” Because, to be frank: anyone can read a book, teach themselves, and take control of their own knowledge - at any point in life. School’s not supposed to be the only place we learn, nor the last time we pick up a book. But for a lot of people, it is. And that both breaks my heart and feels incredibly annoying.
