The most underrated soprano in modern times. Not enough glitz and glamour, I guess. (although she is quite beautiful) She doesn't draw a lot of attention to herself; she just gets the job done. Brava!

Quelle voix délicieuse qui interprète ce thème, l'un des plus beaux de la B.O.F. "Il était une fois en Amérique" : 'Deborah's Theme" d'Ennio Morricone, Film réalisé par Sergio Leone, sorti en 1984.. Extrait interprété par l'une des plus jolies voix soprano, que je connaisse est le énième chef-d’oeuvre de l’un des plus géniaux compositeurs de sa génération, et qui a donné une fois de plus, le meilleur de lui-même pour le cinéma .. Le scénario se passe en pleine période de prohibition, dans les années vingt où Max et Noodles sont liés par un pacte d'éternelle amitié, jusqu'au jour où la trahison les sépare, après de fructueux trafics dans le ghetto de New York... Il évoque évoque l'amour contrarié entre Noodles et Deborah, où la distance entre les deux personnages est caractérisée par un sentiment de nostalgie poignante où se mêlent les regrets, lorsque Noodles se retrouve durant quelques années derrière les barreaux... Ce thème où l’image de Deborah, la femme aimée puis trahie obsédera Noodles jusqu’à la mort.
