Great bag! What do you think of creating a cover for the black strap? Great idea to use a strap like that on several bags you make with attached D rings. I just think either knitting a cover over the strap or ven using i-Cord (3 lengths and braid) to cover will look like it goes with the knitting. Your thoughts?? I also have placed plastic canvas in some of my larger bags and I have had options to line or not. So glad you are making bags!! We always need them and yours can be made in same way for a tablet cover!! ☺

It would likely work fine. I ended up getting some straps of Amazon and they had a cushioned pad....so I have a few colours so they will go with anything.

Hi! About how many yards, do you estimate went into one this size? I have a #4 yarn I think would make an interesting bag, but think I'd like to go a little larger - trying to see if I have enough in this skein to do this size, much less a larger one. 😁 Thank you :)
@DeborahShaw4 жыл бұрын
I used a left over skein of ice yarn...so maybe about the size of a small skein.I live in Canada and we dont do yards.

@@DeborahShaw thank you! "A small skein", works for me. 😊 The one I'm thinking of using is around 180 meters. I appreciate the reply. Thanks again!

Hi! I love your video, but I just had a quick question. When decreasing, do you owl knit 4 pegs each time before starting your decease? I tried, and my purse turned out all crooked 😬 Thank you!
@DeborahShaw4 жыл бұрын
it depends how steep or how much you are decreasing for the purse....it is a slanting stich but it straightens out as you set your stitches.
@SarahAloof27 күн бұрын
People can use this stich for other things do we have to use it to make this bag, so may I use it for something else
@DeborahShaw27 күн бұрын
you can use it in the round for anything. For a flat panel if you go bigger than this bag then you will need to alternate stitches because it will start to slant too much to one side. You can also do my ingot stitch for a large flat project because i made this stitch into a 3 row pattern so there is no slant at all.

What size Loom are use on for that bag on KZbin??
@DeborahShaw5 жыл бұрын
its a loom in a round circle set. Its gauge is between 3/4" and 5/8 Inch...

are you doing every other row owl eye with 1 row of purl over
@DeborahShaw4 жыл бұрын
one row owl eye...one row purl over... repeat.

Ive tried making this twice now but both times at the end it comes our slanted not straight, i follow everything step by step but the sides don't line up right... Any advice?
@DeborahShaw2 жыл бұрын
It does slant a bit so you set the stitches by stretching both ways at the end and it eventually straightens out.

Would this be okay for blanket
@DeborahShaw4 жыл бұрын
you can make anything you want with it, including a blanket
@chrismalzahn86454 жыл бұрын
Well apparently if you use 19 stitches instead of 18 you get a slightly crooked purse. But if anybody asks I did it on purpose.😉
@DeborahShaw4 жыл бұрын
you can stretch it straight
