Thanks Blaine! 🍻 EDIT: For everyone asking about the status of this build, Stefan took a hiatus from this project to get his #MercFerd ready for Hot Rod Power Tour 2019, then the MG was shelved due to personal setbacks and travel. He still plans on making more videos on the Midget from his home garage, since we sponsored him with $1000 in new suspension parts after this episode came out. In the meantime you can follow him here: www.youtube.com/@projectblackjack

This Midget is going to be bad ass!!! I love how it's not a super fancy high dollar build, either. Something us regular folk can relate to, just a couple friends hanging out and creating something. Black Jack's gonna be one happy dude driving it when it's all done!! :)

Thank you Stefan! I was only giving you a hard time because my grandpa used to give me such a hard time about the difference between a motor and a engine. He was a engineer. He designed a lot popular high powered industrial electric motors you still see in use today.

Good job on the cross member section although I'd suggest getting a hole saw and putting some decent sizes access holes in the underside, maybe slit between 2 holes to make a few rectangle holes with rounded ends in the underside so you can be sure its well coated inside and also make it a little lighter without loosing strength.
@Projectblackkjack5 жыл бұрын
I might make it my dry sump tank
@AuMechanic5 жыл бұрын
@@Projectblackkjack Not a bad idea but you would need to add some baffles or some form of containment inside it to stop the oil pooling to one end during cornering away from the pick up otherwise you'd have to run a lot of oil in there to avoid that and that would end up with a lot of extra weight for no large gains.
@Projectblackkjack5 жыл бұрын
@@AuMechanic I'm thinking of using half of it with a modified top for oil/air separation, so it will be more like a vertical tank then the whole crossmember and on the passenger side for better weight distribution
@AuMechanic5 жыл бұрын
@@Projectblackkjack I see, that makes more sense to use the vertical section.

Suggested name for EXO: "death-reduction cage". Another suggestion, since you're using the crossmember as dry sump (brilliant BTW) why not use the frame rail as exhaust?
