Aargh! There's a typo in the very first frame...I left out the "e." To correct it, I'd have to delete and repost the video, which means I'd lose all the annotations and have to do the closed captions again. ;+(

That is very interesting. I feel concerned when people position sharp pointed plants near our suburban sidewalks. This is a beautiful plant and makes excellent focal points in a sea of Bougainvilla.

What about the soil?
@QueenofSucculents4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dany, apologies for the delay in responding. Coarse, well-draining soil is best. Learn more in my video, Soil for Succulents kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2fEc52Cr92GiLc.

Is this plant cold hardy? What zones does it grow Debra?
@QueenofSucculents7 жыл бұрын
According to San Marcos Growers (the best website for accurate info about specific succulents), it'll survive temps down to 20 degrees F, but "Protect from temperatures below 25 degrees F to avoid disfiguring the foliage." The fact that it grows happily with bougainvillea indicates that it's a fair-weather plant; for me, bougainvillea is the canary in the mineshaft when it comes to frost, i.e. where it thrives, there isn't any. So, I'd say Zones 9 and 10.

I know. When Kelly and I made this video, we assumed the supply would meet the demand it created...and it hasn't. Very frustrating.

A great share/link from www.DebraLeeBaldwin.com ('s) e-newsletter sign-up feature. I have a small one given to me in a pot. It's pupping galore; thus ready to divide & pot up -Now. After viewing this video I see that ours is still in a juvenile state. I have new plans for these specimens to go in the ground late Oct. (After the summer heat) where it'll have adequate space, and be showcased most appropriately. Thank You!
