Hi Jason, Down, here in Detroit and the temperature 🌡 got up to 83 degrees this past Saturday and yesterday Sunday. Enjoy, the warm temperature 🌡 while you can. Remember, to listen to your Mother in Law, when she says TRAIN, then a TRAIN is coming down the track. Tell, Freddie that David from Detroit said HI! This, coming Wednesday and the temperature 🌡 is suppose to drop down to the 40's. And, here comes the TRAIN LOUD and CLEAR !

Hello from the UK. I am sure that on our side of the pond, regulations would prevent trains from using railway track of such poor condition. Overall, the condition is appalling. I am interested to see how railways are not fenced off in the US and how they run along streets, between buildings etc. I am not sure whether this one is classed as street running because the track isn't actually set into the road, but it is certainly very close to it. Nice video BTW.

The joint where the spikes are loose appears to be a compromise joint between two different weights of rail. As to the pole, it'll get fixed about the same time as the hydrant. Keep the videos coming!

I have seen videos that make the track look very bad. But the reality is, there is nothing wrong with the tracks. A 50 to 60 MPH stack train runs across that section of track with no problem. The cars are not rocking or bouncing.

Warning lights not working at the crossing @6:55? Wonder if it was wind related or a maintenance issue.
@billmorris26132 жыл бұрын
The crew knew about the crossing lights not working. That is why the train stopped and the crew member got on the ground to flag the crossing. I doubt that the wind had anything to do with the signals not working unless it took out the power coming into the electrical cabinet.
@jasonasselin2 жыл бұрын
That crossing is hit and miss, it was working last week.
@billmorris26132 жыл бұрын
Jason Asselin Intermittent electrical problems can be very difficult to find.
@erict52342 жыл бұрын
The railroad possibly deactivated the crossing temporarily because of false activations... broken bond wires on jointed rail, broken rails and rust build up can cause poor continuity in the signal system... I'm guessing that it was easier to deactivate the crossing, than to replace a broken rail... The railroad doesn't want to get constant phone calls from the local PD about their crossings being activated!
@cris_2612 жыл бұрын
@@erict5234 Sounds like something they should take care of for safety's sake. Or will they worry about fixing the crossing lights after a derailment? Sort of two birds with one stone. ;^P
