You guys should make your own broth or use better than boullian with how much you use. It’d save a lot of $$. Do you guys have your February budget recap ready?

For mashed potatoes, try using some of the water in which you cooked your potatoes and add a little milk, or coconut milk. It comes out really creamy.
@debtisdum5 жыл бұрын
Good to know. Might try the coconut milk next time. Thanks :)

We have not. We could but have come accustomed to going without and do not seem to need or miss them. :)

Have you tried doing your mash in the instant pot using chicken stock instead of water? So good! Potatoes are always so tender. They do take on some colour of the stock but that’s fine by me. I’m always interested to know how you reheat the leftovers, especially the meat, ie the ribs, or steak or say pork chops and are they as ‘juicy’ the next day.
@debtisdum5 жыл бұрын
I usually reheat in a skillet on low heat with a splash of chicken broth. The broth helps keep the moisture in. I would say 75% of the time the food still tastes like the first night. :)

Thanks for the video! Have you heard of plant-based nutrition before? It’s extremely nutritious for your family(Healthiest way of eating and sustainable for all age ranges according to the World Health Organization), there’s almost an infinite amount of DELICIOUS recipes, AND plant foods are among the cheapest in the world! It seems perfect for what you guys are going for! Some of my favorite recipes are Cashew Alfredo, mushroom stroganoff, African Soul-soothing peanut Stew, or maybe some winter lentil stew! Ps, I love the balanced meals you guys are making, and Everyone is participating in the kitchen! Great stuff!! Let me know if you’re curious about plant based eating! ;)

Of course we loved the longer video! I have a quick question, what brand of skillets are those you used making the orange chicken? Thanks love you guys!
@debtisdum5 жыл бұрын
Kirkland (Costco) brand. They have held up the best out of all the pans we have purchased. :)

I don’t necessarily need cooking lessons but I would’ve to cook with them and then eat because boy do they eat good! By that I mean the best sourced food, cooked well.

If you’re interested you can make homemade vegan parm out of nutritional yeast. Just Google it 😊 We use it and it definitely works for adding extra flavor. Love the dinner vlogs!!!

My brother and his partners are very much not in to electronics with her daughters, they are close to your eldest age. You will generally find them with a book and never see the TV on at all. They do have time to jump on electronic items each day. It is just really nice to see another family that rarely have electronic item on.
