That's pretty amazing. Well done! I also add IC pinouts in my source code. Years ago I wrote a Space Invaders emulator (Z80) from scratch. Main screen loads. Insert a (virtual) coin, the invaders show and boom you die instantly. p.s. I recommend some typedefs for UBYTE, UWORD etc.

I have also wanted to emulate an arcade game for a while, I think Galaxian and Pacman where effectively the same hardware and Z80 based. One day hopefully I will have time to as Galaxian was my favourite arcade game. Nice one doing Space Invaders.

Could you make a tutorial about coding a space invaders emulator ? (the Midway 8080 arcade machine, not a clone of the game. It is generally considered the second step in emulation programming after chip8, but there isn't any clear tutorial about it.

It is something I would like to do, also Galaxian and Pacman arcade PCBs is something I would like to emulate. I have an original arcade Space Invader PCB set I would like to get rewired and running at some point too.
