Given that these are beginner guides, "do X every day" makes sense just so they don't have to remember "these are the days where it matters". Especially the tips from Livin' Off the Land, which happen on multiple days per week, and are actually new info for those players.

Actually, when it comes to the community center, I recommend preparing for the spring crops bundle all the way back on spring 1. If you do, you can get 20 free speed-gro just in time for the egg festival, letting you get three harvests from enough strawberries to make the extra prep time worthwhile if you don't plan on grinding foraging 4 in your first spring

cool video, but... a begginer farmer has no way of knowing which crops will be more profitable, and in year one they will prob be planting a lot of the less profitable seeds because of community center. There is also an achievement if you do so, the "Polyculture", so yeah I would recommend planting the "bad crops" as well, especially at the beggining of the game. Friendship is important, year 1 is the year you will have less things to do, way better to make friends with villagers and visit town more often. There are key villagers that the sooner you befriend, the better. Like Pam (sends very good gifts in the mail) Caroline (tea saplings), Linus (sashimi).... In general almost every villager sends cool gifts and recipes in the mail, so yeah, I would also recommend using the free time you have on year 1 to befriend everyone and see the cool cutscenes

Yeah, I think I might have made some of my points a little unclear, my bad. I did say to plant all the seeds you have, and to make sure to plant all the community center seeds towards the end of the video. And like I said, after year 1 you're usually only going to be planting high value crops, most people I've seen are wiki-campers and just look up the most valuable crop. I personally think friendship is better focused on long-term just cause in spring-fall 1 you're not gonna have a lot of loved gifts. Once you start getting to a place where you can obtain loved gifts for everyone, you can max out their hearts VERY quickly. I guess it depends on playstyle.

Yeah people sometimes equate explaining game mechanics neutrally as bad while explaining min max is seen as good. I prefer growing crops that people actually eat. Nobody eats starfruit for a reason while tomatoes wheat and corn are staples so why aren’t they more lucrative?

I actually liked the guide from Game Rant more than your guide. Maybe it's just personal preference of what to do first in Stardew Valley but I think both guides had good and bad tips.

You should focus on friendship early so that you get immersed in the game world. It’s not fun to just play an entire season of button mashing through dialogue so I prefer to sprinkle it in. Sure it’s harder earlier but it’s also more authentic than spamming luxury goods while only talking to someone twice a week

You don't have to put your crops near water. You can put water near your crops, IE, a well. On the Meadows Farm, and the Hilltop Farm, I put a well next to the house (IE, the main crop area) for this reason. Wells are cheap and easy to commission from Robin.

I always recommend buying a coop before buying a silo. Chickens can always eat the grass outdoors and won't need hay until a rainy day. Buying the chickens first means they start producing eggs faster, which means you start earning money faster. If you happen to get a rainy day before you buy a silo, a little bit of hay isn't that expensive for that 1 day.
