I start by giving some explanation and maybe will shed a different light on this piece for the listener to enjoy these pieces more as well as sharing what are for me some significant and impactful moments in this piece.
About Laurent Boukobza:
A Parisian native, he is a prize winner of many international competitions including First Prize in Piano from the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris. A recording artist with many CDs, Laurent tours widely in Europe, the Americas, and the Far East.
His teachers included Catherine Collard, Germaine Mounier, Yvonne Loriod and Michel Beroff. Laurent has been organizing his own International Music Camps in Europe every year in July. More details at www.LBMusicCamp.com.
Laurent Boukobza has performed in Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Romania, Singapore, Taiwnan. Poland and the United States.
In the process of recording the complete cycle of all 32 Beethoven Piano Sonatas, the CDs, which have been endorsed by a major world renowned label, should be released in end of 2023!

Je suis ravie d’apprendre cette série sur le préludes de Debussy. Je connais mal le compositeur et son œuvre mais plus le temps passe, plus je me sens des affinités avec lui. Jamais à la première écoute, comme s’il fallait le mériter pour entrer dans l’univers, et puis plus on écoute plus la magie opère. Et on finit par penser : mais que c’est beau une gamme chromatique ! Merci pour cette initiative, je vais attendre (im)patiemment les prochains enregistrements !

Trèves de plaisanterie, c'est vrai qu'il a l'art de rendre une gamme chromatique ou autres phénomènes assez classique de la musique beau et profond alors qu'on pensait avoir tout entendu... du pur genie en somme.

Sur mon chevet, il y a Au Piano avec Claude Debussy par M.Long et je ne résiste pas à la citer ici, pour fêter le début de cette série YT. A propos des préludes : « ces merveilles légères ou grandioses, tendres, profondes et mélancoliques, sont une évocation de sensations indéfinissables pour lesquelles notre langue n’a pas de nom…. ». Joli programme en perspective ! (Ça justifiera et excusera peut être même ma hâte d’en écouter la suite prochainement !)

Merci infiniment pour cette initiative en effet. Je ne les aime pas tous de la même façon. Mais je suis persuadé que tes explications vont m'éclairer sur ce sujet. Vas - tu les faire dans l'ordre ou bien, petite exception, est ce que pour le 14 juillet, tu nous feras mon petit chouchou, le 24 ème ? Je sais pas si j'aurai la patience d'attendre moi ..... 😜
