Spectacular video: Follows the same vibe as "Be With Me" (Dimash's official MV), where we have secret agents, bandits, undercover agents... This is Dimash's second work in partnership with Dmytro Gordon and lyricist Candice Kelly (the first was “When I've Got You”): It is a more pop phase with the inclusion of traditional Kazakh instruments (in this case, the “dombra ” makes arpeggios similar to a guitar). Dimash has a very progressive work, free from commercial constraints. He tests and plays with his fans! The marketing for this song was bold and truly brilliant: Firstly, the song was released in a live performance at the Hong Kong show. Afterwards, a teaser for the official video with the song's chorus was released. From that point on, the chorus was already subliminally recorded in the spectators' minds! The complete song was released on the main platforms, making both the chorus and the operatic part sound more natural for reactors and fans. Some time later, when everyone was waiting for the official video, he released a performance video, with dances and beautiful dancers! Now the chorus is sung by reactors and fans! A month later he releases the official video with an intriguing plot and a “plot twist” worthy of cinema: Excellent work by Dimash and his team!

👉 Wow, this is Popera at its best!!! “Dimash Qudaibergen has repeatedly said that music has no borders, nationalities and distances.” (DimashNews) How can you not fall in love with Dimash when he is a good "bad boy", of course without socks, in (devilish) red and with sensual movements that make the girls dance for him like on strings (like in the performance video) ... and that voice! It gets into you and you become addicted and just want more Dimash. Even evil gangsters forget everything when listening to Agent DQ's “siren song” and just want to dance. (Official Music Video) The song premiere took place on December 23, 2023 at Dimash's STRANGER concert in Hong Kong. * Smoke - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJjddIKhl8iWbJY (fan video at concert) * Smoke - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYbFkGaFfpeYf6s (performance video) * Smoke - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnLKdaKFn6eYpcU(official Music Video) Excerpts from the DimashNews (DN) interview with music producer Dmytro Gordon (DG): DN: Dmytro, for 8 years you have been working alongside Walter Afanasieff in his company WallyWorld as a lead orchestrator and arranger, and you both have also written music for films. (Dimash's friend and world-famous American music producer Walter Afanassieff plays a small role in the video: He wears a checked blue shirt over a white shirt, baseball cap and sunglasses and is one of the gangsters who drive up in the car and bring the drugs.) What are the similarities and differences between producing music for renowned artists in the US and working with Dimash? DG: „I would say that Dimash is much more open to experimentation than any other artist I have had the pleasure of working with so far. When it comes to an established artist with an existing fan base, they and their label are usually very cautious about trying new styles, new vocal techniques or anything that might confuse or alienate their core audience. And that makes sense, but the catch is that after a while their repertoire stagnates. Dimash is the bravest artist I know to date: he deeply respects and cares about his dears, but he's not afraid to try new things, which he proves time and time again, including his latest releases. On a personal level, our collaboration has also evolved into a friendship, for which I'm forever grateful. It's much more authentic and fun to make music as friends, rather than just as collaborators. Ask the Beatles. SMOKE... is completely modern, even experimental in certain aspects. Yes, it has an operatic vocalise in the choruses, but the context in which we hear it makes it impossible to pigeonhole it into a genre. It's also minimalist and open when it comes to the vocal melodies, harmonic content and instrumental textures (though it's not easy, and Dimash's unique vocal skills still shine through). Every musical decision in Smoke is super precise: take one thing away, and the song falls apart. Add another element - and it becomes oversaturated. That's how I would describe it. ... It's such a joy and an incredible privilege to work with Dimash, who I truly consider to be one of the best musicians in human history. And then to receive all the love and gratitude from his fan base just feels heavenly. I'm so grateful to everyone who supported these new releases and who took the risk with us to open their hearts and ears to the new, unknown sides of Dimash. As for the new works - I don't want to spoil any surprises yet. But to quote a classic: «Soon!» COMPOSER: Dimash Qudaibergen LYRICS: Candice Kelly, Dmytro Gordon PRODUCERS: Dimash Qudaibergen, Dmytro Gordon DOMBRA: Dimash Qudaibergen MIXER: Mike Horner MASTERED BY: Dick Beetham PUBLISHER: DimashAli Creative Center LLP (You can read the whole article on DimashNews) ** Walter Afanassieff, *1958 in São Paulo, São Paulo, Brasilien. His family came to Brazil from Russia in the late 1940s. American music producer and songwriter from ASCAP. One of Afanasieff's biggest hits as a music producer was "My Heart Will Go On", the theme tune to the 1997 film Titanic, sung by Celine Dion. The song became the world's best-selling single of 1998. Afanasieff created music with Mariah Carey from 1990 to 2001 and he produced and arranged other motion picture soundtracks, including Disney's Beauty and the Beast (the Celine Dion/Peabo Bryson title-track duet), Aladdin ("A Whole New World") and The Hunchback of Notre Dame ("Someday"). Afanasieff was also the producer and arranger for "Go the Distance", the Oscar-nominated Michael Bolton song from the animated film Hercules.**
