I think the garden would disagree with you saying that you can only see a little light at the end of the tunnel. Compared to what the garden first looked like, its amazing how much sun now comes into the garden. The work you have put in is amazing and i think you should be so proud at what you have accomplished. ❤

Hey Ryan, soooooo satisfying. Thank the stars we dont get a lot of nettles here in WA, when I was a kid in Belfast I fell into a patch of them and had to be painted with calamine lotion to soothe the pain, it was horrendous. Great job and effort on your part. I think it is wonderful that you are doing this free of charge. You are a good person. I hope you don't mind but I have some observations from a construction and demolition perspective. I come from a family of medium and heavy machinery and construction workers. This is my perspective without considering the economic factors. I see 2 choices the homeowner can make. 1: prepare the house and property for sale and purchase a smaller house on a smaller property. 2: If not 1, I would get a medium size bulldozer, front loader and 30 cubic yard dumpster. I would then proceed to cut down all small to medium size trees, cut down all bushes then bulldoze and remove all the green waste. I would get a tree removal service to cut down all the large trees. I would haul away all the rubbish. I then would level the ground and make small areas of flowering plants and grass everywhere else. Thees are just my 2 cents of thoughts.

There were stinging nettles at a house I used to live in, and I go stung more times than I could count, so what I started doing were cutting them down with garden shears then picking them up with a shovel and put them staight in the greenwaste bin.

Did we ever tell you all these are interesting a dream of a green busy garden that grew up and then old and overwhelming. I like the intros and the endings. Removing the termites wood and clean up the bricks is good. Get that junk off the patio and into the shed and the seating areas again. Hang up tools on house wall there; less bushes, trees below 6 ft tall. We want to lower the ground level or make a hilly flower bed to decorate in one or two place to in put blooming plants .

Not these ones, they are very hardy. As for the trees, no it's too small an amount of poison for something so large.
