Decapitated - Summer Breeze 2023 - ARTE Concert

Fans of technical death metal had been waiting five years for a new album from Decapitated when Cancer Culture dropped in 2022. On stage, the Poles of Decapitated string together a series of grooves, staccato riffs and oppressive double kick drums with infernal precision. This is one band with the devil on their heels and an ability to set mosh pits ablaze.

Anyone else notice that Vogg has his guitar pitched to machine heads tuning ? They both play in C# /Drop B but MH makes it a little more sharper than the normal 440 and this sounds just like it. Just thought it was cool to hear that haha.

J'ai découvert le groupe récemment avec leur précédent album ANTICULT que je te conseille vraiment car si celui-ci est bien, le précédent est meilleur. J'apprécie toutefois particulièrement les duos avec la chanteuse de Jinjer (Hello Death) et Robb Flynn de Machine Head (Iconoclast), mais j'ai vraiment une préférence pour l'album précédent. J'ai essayé le reste de leur disco, mais je n'accroche pas.

Fantastic band. I wish they’d add another guitarist to partner Vogg (who slays) for some sick interchanges during tracks and lessen the backing track dependency. Kataklysm would also benefit from a similar addition.

Vogg is modern version of dimebag darrel, i don't think he will add another guitarist on the band. Like dimebag, vogg riff is unique, maybe some of band don't really need two guitaris on their music, IMHO

I was at the Norwich show. I had no idea they would be this good! Amazing live band, so tight it's unreal and the sound was out of this world, drums sounded like a machine gun. So glad I got a ticket. Been listening to their discography since the show and it's absolutely top notch metal. New fan right here. Surprised they aren't bigger/more recognised! Amazing band!

At the time another thing attract my attention that was the power of the Drummer…I think his name is Kerim “Krimh” Lechner ….
