Why 2 pantographs? Locomotives can pull 7.5 MW from one pantograph

Locomotives ground power through the steel rails. So it comes in the pantograph, then out through the steel wheels. With rubber tires, you need a second pantograph to complete the circuit and be your ground.

Edison Motors went hybrid because BC does not have enough electricity to completely go EV, so what will happen is you will run out of power quickly. Also, doesn't the IPCC consider hydroelectricity the same carbon exposure as coal because the water movement liberates carbon from the river and basin soil bed, mixes it into the flow, and then liberates it out the slide? So it was my understanding that the IPCC would be, for now, allowing hydro but, in the future, encouraging elimination because of the environmental damage installing a dam causes and the liberated carbon. So, with BC shifting everything to Hydro, do you not ultimately hang yourselves?
