In my experience, (used to rockrider st100-mountain & triban rc120-road). For Indian roads, better go for mountain bikes. Usable in office roads too & rough use. Shock absorber available. High durability and low maintenance. Only minus, we cannot go speed. Riding will be smoother while using gears Road bike(eg triban) If roads are best then we go for it. Pros: Speed perspective. Low weight. Cons:costly. suppose if we use this in rough roads then wheel rim get damaged. Since it's weightless, parts will get damaged in small accident. Handle with care
