What's the main difference between a hybrid bike and a city bike? I'm considering either the Riverside 100 or Elops 120 Low frame city bike. I'm mainly using for sightseeing, exploring, won't be doing any off roading

City bikes are thin tyre, sleek design, slim frame, on the other hand, hybrid bike is mix of city and MTB, strong rigid frame or could be suspension added as per your choice, tyres are good for both rough and good condition roads, and moreover, you can use a hybrid bike for city touring and also long ride with good performance and satisfying experience. 😀

Thank you for your kind words! It will be something that we will want to show in the future, in terms of timeline we can't specify the date yet. For starters, I will always recommend hardtail MTB as full suspension - rear shock, bearings, linkage, etc all cost money. Less maintenance and fewer problems. The money saved can be put to a dedicated trail helmet, backpack and glasses.

Hi Roy, ideally you want to look at your chain to determine whether you should lube your chain but normally we will lube our chain every 100-200km of ride. If you are caught in the rain during cycling, you should lube up after the ride!

With the budget, the only bike that you can get is Riverside 100 which at this point I'm not sure if there's any stock available. The Rockrider ST 520 and Riverside 500 will be your next choice. Even though you are paying more but you are getting more value out of the bike. Rockrider for best bang for buck imo :)

Hi Stuart, in our opinion, both may have very similar price and parts but they are different type of bike. If you ride mainly on city roads, cycling paths or pavements. Riverside 100 could be a better choice as it is a hybrid bike. The Rockrider st 30 would be slower because of wider tyre and smaller wheel size. If you are using more for off road, then you might want to consider a higher spec model, as the st 30’s specs are not enough for serious off road riding. Hope this helps. Can you suggest tilt folding bike or riverside 500 which is good for first time buyer and who uses bike over weekends for casual biking

for casual biking, both are really good options. folding bike has its merits like portability, you can bring it to bus/train and does not take up much space at home. Hybrid bike are more forgiving on terrains, good all purpose bike.

Hi Beverly! You do not have to do any sort of tuning as Decathlon will get that sort for you :)

Once you buy the bike theres a workshop inside decathlon thats where you have it tuned if ever needed their warranty is also awesome

The last past you said those are good for 1-2 km distance daily. Not good enough for longer distance like 5km?

it really depends, daily commute bike/hybrid bike for people with average fitness can ride 10-20km each way. When we spoke about 1-2km distance it was base on scenario where commuters are riding to MRT station or nearby market so that more people can associate with.
