What's the weird interaction between Infernal Blow of Immolation and Mirages?

Mirages each get their own stack count and it persists after death. Chieftains mirrages and gen cry each leave a 1 stack explosion on the ground after they use their skill.

Am I missing something, or does my DoT damage from Decay not change at all, no matter how many Infernal Blow charges I released?

In-game or in PoB? There isn't that much of a visual effect in game so its hard to tell if you are even hitting.

@@Tenosyn ingame. I compared visually on enemy lifebar draining, there should be notisable difference between 1 charge release and 6, but there was none.

@@vi8799 Make sure you are close to it. I think the extra strikes are a bigger range than the explosion. If only the strike is hitting than its a less than 1 stack worth of DoT. I definately noticed a difference when I played. Also decay just doesn't do much, that might just be the 6 stack dps. Another way to test is to see would be to try with gen cry. The mirrages also get their own stacks up to 1 and it explodes after they fade out. Could use to compare.
