It’s time for the December 2020 Bullet Journal Plan With Me video, and this month we’re setting up this ethereal Christmas inspired monthly theme. I can't believe this is the LAST setup for this year, but I'm equally as excited to move on to the New Year, new bullet journal, and new monthly themes. ^^
My goal this month was to create a little bit more easily achievable decorations, and something that would work for both Christmas and a wintery setup in general. I hope you enjoy this color palette, I really ended up liking it though it's probably not the first one coming to mind when thinking about Christmas decorations, haha. :D Since this is the last theme of this year, I also wanted to focus on reviewing the past year with a few dedicated spread that I hope you'll find helpful.

I am absolutely blown away at how beautiful you have painted this. It looks stunning. The colours are beautiful. I love how all the trees fade into the distance. It's a shame this isn't for sale. You should design a yearly one and sell it online. This is so beautiful, there would be hundreds of people desperate for one. Such a beautiful theme again, Anna! I love the colour palette you chose, and how magical and festive everything looks, without looking tacky at all. The little deer was so adorable. I have to say, the feeling that I’ve ruined a painting, is very common to me too. I am not too happy with all my journal artwork, but I try to think it is not that serious. You ended up with such pretty illustrations, do not worry about it 😍

I hate when the white pens won't write on some media! Definitely understand that struggle. I've found that the white pens will not work on waterbased markers. The wetness of the white ink reactivates the waterbased marker inks. Watercolor paints seem to fair better, but I'm not entirely sure why, but even they will sometimes reactivate. Sometimes if you write on top of alcohol based inks with the white pens, they don't reactivate the ink, but the alcohol ink seeps into the white ink and tints it somehow. As frustrating as it is, the best best is to use those white pens with waterproof inks. I've been searching for a solution that works with waterbased markers and media and even alcohol markers, but I haven't quite found it yet. 😩 Anyway, this set up is GORGEOUS and I adore that cover page you painted. I love the color story and the fact that it strays from "traditional" christmas colors. It feels so natural and authentic and homey and warm and comforting. Perfect for this year. And you could easily make that art a print and sell it, it's that beautiful! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us!

Yessss I totally agree with you! I'vd found that the Tombow Fudenosuke works really well as a black background, but that's about it... With other brush pens there's almost always some struggle. I'm currently waiting for the new Archer&Olive Acrylograph pens to come in mail and I'm super excited to test out the white pen from those and see how it works with my brush pens. One tricky thing about the theme page or the cover page was the 🌒 moon I didn't knew why but I couldn't do the moon as per the theme I mean it was getting messier each time I was fixing it but at last finally I got it right and without using any other page 😅 like jus in one try on the page I can say I did good 😸😂 but ya I really liked your whole setup as I mentioned
