I love 3d printing now, what magnets do you use for 1/2 inch glass? So far im close with some amazon mags but not there yet lol.

I’m working on that myself. The epoxy coated ones are a very thin coating, so I am going to try some plastic covered ones. But I am experimenting with how many of which size, etc.

Thanks! I have some snails coming tomorrow that will help with the algae after I remove the bigger stuff. But I’m really liking how it is progressing.

Get a blade style algae scraper you will scratch your glass with this one sand or not

I actually have been using the long handled Flipper one for a few years now. The problem is that it keeps breaking off coral.

What lights are you using in your lps tank and can you tell me where you keep all your parameters in there including phosphates?
@Reefer_Matt3 күн бұрын
Hello there! I use four Current Orbit R24 lights on that tank. Just because I wanted to try them when they came out. The parameters average around 8 dkh alk, 400 Ca, 1350 mg, 35 nitrate, and .05 phosphate. Specific gravity 1.025, temp 78•F, and ph 7.8-8.1.

I think you’re test for a bigger tank!

So many people panic over algea. It hurts my brain. My tangs will pick a covered rock clean in a few hours. Bring on the algea 😂
@Reefer_Matt3 күн бұрын
Yup! I don’t sweat it unless it’s bothering the coral. Most of the time snails and urchins take care of it for me.

I understood what you meant, lol! Yeah, I’ve been thinking about getting a 120 Marineland. I just gotta figure out how to swap tanks in the same spot while cycling the new one. Maybe precycle the new tank in another spot, then drain and move? But yeah, I’m starting to think so too. Thanks!
