December 7th: Christmas Movie Favorites

I try and watch a couple of Hallmark movies, most are terrible but there are a couple I watch again and again. 'A Season for Miracles' with Lynn Redgrave's cameo. and a very young Mae Whitman - An Auntie runs away with her nephew and niece otherwise they'd be taken into care, the car breaks down and an angel helps her. 'The Spirit of Christmas' is about a lawyer trying to sell a haunted property, the man was murdered during prohibition, the ghost is handsome! Then there's Cary Grant in 'The Bishop's Wife' which I just love. I've read the book but never seen the remake. Then there's 'The Box of Delights' TV series from my childhood, excellent book, a good adaptation.

Love love your choices! All I want for Christmas has such a wonderful cast - Lauren Bacall is the most elegant grandmother ever, and that Christmas tree at the end! I haven’t seen Love Hard, but plan on it. Klaus is so good - have you watched Arthur Christmas, and That Christmas, new on Netflix? They’re wonderful … Christmas Chronicles with Kurt Russell too! Can’t do The Shining… I love S King, but I can’t watch the movies, I’m wimpy when it comes to watching scary movies:)
