~~A bit about us and our budget ~~
Currently we are a family of 5 with one on the way! My husband - Dustin, our infant baby - bean, our 6 year old german shepherd - Nala, our 4 year old golden - Simba, and me. We are completely cashless budgeters (of course with the exception of 'cash only' scenarios) - the reason why is because not only do we find it hard to remember to carry cash, but we also use the opportunity of using credit cards to build our credit and to accumulate 2% cash back on everything, even on bills if no fees allows. Just a suggestion: you could do your debt updates at the beginning of the month for the previous month. That way you don’t have to move the payment due date unless you prefer to. For example, January debt update video can show payments made in December and reflect a beginning balance for January.

Ouuuuuu!! Thank you!! 😍 I think I might just do that! I’ll probably just treat the monthly payment for the following month and make any additional payments with you guys on camera! Nelnet still has not responded to any of the emails so I’m guessing we’ll be stuck with this payment date anyway 🥲 thank you so much again!!

@@myOliveBlue you are so welcome! I understand the struggle, I use to be with Great Lakes and they were super slow with sending me my PIF letters for each loan. I’m excited to watch your journey. Don’t give up, (breaks are okay), it’s tough but you will finish. The relief you’ll feel will be worth it. I promise!

Could you just manually go in and pay the student loan payments early on whatever day you want?

Ohhh thank you!! Let me actually try that again! I tried to do it a previous month but it ended up withdrawing the auto payment still.. but I think it might have been my fault because I did it too close to the due date. I’m going to try tomorrow and see if it works!! 🤞Thank you again! ☺️🫶

@@myOliveBlue you might have to turn off automatic payments. You should be able to do that right on the website.

@sherrikmcintyre ahh I see, the automatic payment set up gives an extra .25 discount off on interest for all loans 😕 hmm, hopefully just paying early will work!
