Hi coline!! You are my favorite youtuber ~ i always get so inspired to study with your vlogs!!! I was wondering if maybe you could share how you make/manage your notion and organization there? It seems from your videos like you mainly use notion and im really interested. ^^

hi coline! i'm a college student from singapore who is going to KU for a semester exchange & i would like to say thank you so much for uploading these vlogs showing your experience as an international student in KU, it is so so helpful & encouraging to see other ppl's perspective living in Seoul as an international student :-) really love the editing/vibe of your vlogs! also just wanted to ask if you would recommend living in KU dorms (CJ/anam) or off campus like you are right now? thank you so much for your vlogs, really appreciate it! love from singapore 💛

Your text makes my day 🥹 thank you so so much !! 💗 So glad to hear about your exchange !! I hope you'll have the time of your life (no doubts you will haha) ~ I lived in the dorms (CJ) for one semester and I would 100% recommend it, it's so close to school + you'll be with other students. Also, you won't have to worry about paying rent each month since you only pay once. I would rather recommend CJ since it has more kitchens and also has single rooms. I wouldn't recommend a studio, chances are quite low that you would sign a contract for less than a year and the deposit are crazy so I think it would be pretty burdensome. Another great option is goshiwon! Anam has a few that host a lot of exchange students so it makes it really easy to make friends as well~! I had several friends who lived there and honestly the vibe was so great, everyone was so nice! Whatever you choose, I would definitely recommend you to live in Anam or close to school. Let me know if you need more info, I could give you the name of the two goshiwons I know 🥰 Hope that helps 💗

hi there! thank you so much for taking the time to reply 🥹 i would greatly appreciate any info on the goshiwons you know! also it is reassuring to hear your recommendation for CJ since i was also planning to apply for a single room in CJ dorm if i were to live on campus :-) is the application process for a single room in CJ typically very competitive? i wanted to find out more info on the application period on the KU website but i currently don't have a login ID yet & am unable to access much of the site.. just want to check in case i miss the deadline; is the usual application period for accommodation in the fall semester in July? i really appreciate your help, this means a lot! 🥹🙏🏻

@@javelle9579 as an exchange student, you can be almost certain to get a room in the dorms but getting a single-room could be quite hard ... ! I am pretty sure that you have the priority after first semester freshmen tho, which means you do have your chances. You can always apply and make your mind when the results come out ! ☺ There is not much you can do to influence your chances of getting a single-room anyway, the application process is pretty straightforward. I'll check the application for the dorms and the names of the goshiwons, DM on IG (@coline.brnt) I'll send you the info there 🥹💗

Hey, congrats on all your achievements until now. Since I’m starting my business degree at KU in spring, I really like seeing other people’s experiences, like I just did through your video (again). May I ask one thing, when you leave to go home for Christmas, how long can you stay there? Could you technically stay home until the course registration for the spring semester (if you’re not attending the winter sessions)?

Thank you so much for your comment ! I'm so glad ot hear my videos can be somewhat encouraging ~ 🥰 Congrats on coming to KU !! As long as you're done with exams, you're free to go home however long you want! I usually go back to Seoul in the beginning of February but many international students come back right before the semester starts, it is really up to you. You could even do your course registration at home since you don't need to be on campus for that. Hope that helps~ 🖇️

Hey Coline! Can you share what your stats were? I'm planning to apply to KU but I'm not confident with my ECs (though my grades are high)

Hii ~~ I graduated high-school in France so I am not sure how to translate my stats for it to make sense for u ㅠㅠ I did graduate high-school with high-grades, although I am not sure how much it weighted in my acceptance at KU! You seem to be confident with your grades anyway so I am sure you have all your chances ☺️ As for my EC, I was quite active (did a lot of music and English tutoring) but what I put forward in my personal statement was my personality traits and what I learnt from these ECs and enriching experiences I've had... If you don't have any specific ECs to talk about, I think you could mention some transformative experiences and academic interests you have. I am not sure if that helps but if I have one advice for your admission is to make sure your personal statement is well-written !! This is really where you can show yourself beyond your grades so I feel like it is most important ☺️💗 Best of luck for your application !!

Hii Grace ~ KU has application periods for international students ! I didn't have to pass any specific entrance exam but had to send them about 15 documents in total (from high-school transcripts, to birth-certificate and many more...!). I only had to pass an English certification exam. You can find all these information on the Global Service Center website of KU. ☺️ I study international relations with a double major in English literature. I hope that helps !💗
