For beginning occult books I would recommend things like Occult, Witchcraft and Magick, the moon and serpent bumper book of magic, occult by thames and Hudson , books that hit upon multiple topics until you find where your interests lie

Coffee table style books are great for sure for dipping your toes into multiple subjects.
