Hi Katie, my mum passed, just before Christmas, and I just started painting again a week ago, with a snacksize canvas of a birdhouse with 2 birds, that she would have liked a lot... So, no big plans here. I intend to finish all my unfinished projects these coming months. And follow you, of course! Love from the Netherlands, Willeke

I love that Loki cross stitch conversion! I need to start with little ones first but I am sure I will be getting that one later on!

Thank you for sharing, Katie! For this year, I am planning to start and complete my first cross stitch conversion. I am not sure exactly when that is going to happen but it will! Hope you have a great rest of your week!

Those are some beautiful finishes! For the new year, I have a few WIPs I'm carrying over from 2023 that I plan on finishing. However I have another storykeep from HAED that I plan on starting once those are done. I'm hoping to slowly chip away at it throughout the year. Hope you had a wonderful holiday!

Thanks for doing the month in review. I just look forward to each one of them. I love Chuck Pinson and Abraham Hunter along with a few others. However a Richard Lorenz caught my eye and I just ordered my first one “ Guardian of the Garden”. I have a love for nature and birds.

January is definitely my work on what I want month. So I am currently working on Gingerbread Dragon from Swartz Designs (definitely recommend buying from her if you haven't) and I have Finding Myself from DAC kit up. I figured that one would be perfect for the new year as we all are finding our footing for the year ahead.

Im so glad that you did this. I was one of the ones that said yes please. Everything is so beautiful. I always kinda follow my nose and thats why I have so many wips. I just cant work on one that isnt calling to me anymore. I plan to work on what I have already but I have a severe yearning to kit up a new one for the new year. In December I did my first Munimade and right now Im trying to finish Outside the Sweetshop. Im really enjoying that one even tho its 197 colors. I followed all your tips and I am having so much fun. I go back to work Friday so I know I wont be able to craft as much but I am participating in the HAED SAL. I plan to see that through for sure.

Hi Katie, good morning from Los Angeles County. Thank you for the wonderful December review. I am still working on Dashshund Puppy, I am almost down. Next will be Golden Cocker Spaniel by Peggy Collins. Then I will count all the kits I have, not including the WIPS, divide by three, and commit to working and completing 1/3 this year.

For December I finished Jolly Snowman and Trinity of Peace and I started and still working on 12 Days of Christmas and Fabiola. Glad you did your usual month in review and excited to see your post review of Loki! 💚

Love that Dragon Spirit canvas! So stunning! It was a little hard to tell what was in her hand in the render, but once the drills were added, it was so obviously the hilt of a katana! Amazing what putting drills down actually achieves! Tfs! 😁❤️👍🏻

Hi Katie, I got the Oraloa kit Two witches for Christmas. After your video I knew I had to have that one! My husband surprised me with that. I've been wanting to try Oraloa for awhile now😊

I did the Advent calendar and loved it! I did start in November when it arrived, and used Markup R-XP also. Now working on my Princess panel (Giselle), but have been working on it since May and have a long way to go. Just not enough hours in the day. I am realizing after watching this video why I have stuff from several different places, like the UK, Make-Market, DAC, Jade.

I love the first kit! My goodness the colors ❤️ and the 2nd kit has been on my wishlist at DAC awaiting restock. Where do you get the pretty washi with the metallic along the edge?
@DiamondsandWashi11 ай бұрын
Hi there! Nearly all of my washi tape is from the shop “Simply Gilded,” and I definitely recommend browsing their shop if you haven’t before!

The kit I was most proud of and gave me the most satisfaction last year was the Astronomer by DAC. It really is spectacular when finished. I love Myles Pinkney's artwork. For the new year, I just started Diamond Dots Masterclass The Kiss by Klimt. It was a Christmas present to myself. I love the way Diamond Dotz rendered this particular painting and how they incorporate all the special shaped crystals into it, as it lends itself well to the original artwork. I never wanted the previous version because I hate partial prints and the faces were just printed. This Masterclass kit makes the faces and hands with the mini dots, which I was also curious to try. The mini dots are a lot more fun to work with than I thought, and I have even learned how to multi place a little bit with them, but ...wow...the static is worse in the mini drills than in the regular size 🤦♀️ they are so tiny that the static causes them to scatter really easily because they are so light in weight. They even scatter when my pen is coming into contact with them at times. I used static guard and that helped considerably but it is still a little struggle. The gold drills in this kit are so stunning. They take my breath away every time I place them. Loved seeing your month end review. That Fairy Tale cross stitch conversion is really quite an undertaking. The level of detail and the sheer scope of that piece over all is daunting just to watch. I can't imagine actually doing it. Wow. Have fun on your new kits for January!

I always enjoy these. I pulled an older square kit (DAC) out of my stash and the drills are not nearly as nice as the newer kits. I am curious if you’ve experienced same when working on a rainy day kit.

There’s definitely a difference in the quality! They’ve made some major upgrades and I notice a big difference in a kit that was produced in 2019 versus today, for sure.

Hi Katie, I enjoy your videos and love how real you are! I finished 8 this year and it was my first year Diamond painting. I really do love it but I am not sure how store them if I don’t frame them. What do you do?
@DiamondsandWashi11 ай бұрын
Hi there! I may do a video on this very soon, as it’s been a frequently asked question recently ☺️ I either store mine flat in a large artist portfolio, or rolled up and in totes!
@aleasilverleaf23211 ай бұрын
I have a question and it may seem odd but here goes. I have seen you do so many paintings. and there are only so many walls in a house, what do you do with them after you are done?
@DiamondsandWashi11 ай бұрын
Hi! Not an odd question at all ☺️ I keep them, but stored away either flat in artist portfolios, or rolled up and in totes! I enjoy the process of working on them and the satisfaction of finishing them, rather than planning to display them in my home.

How can you do 6 in month lol I have a hard time doing one. Lol. No I get it. I only work on one at a time.
