december study vlog: last few exams, self-studying japanese, new desk set-up and holiday shopping

happy new year everyone!
i took a little break with editing videos during the holidays, and because of that I'm a bit behind with vlog footage ahaha, here's what i was up to in the first few weeks of December, finishing up the last of my finals and starting the break semi-productively :)

i would recommend rocketbook for notetaking! it allows you to physically write ur notes and then scan+upload them to ur drive. the ink is erasable. i like it bc it saves a lot of paper, and u get to actually write out ur notes while keeping them more organized!!!

I am a senior at university and I will say that your method is what I have used all through school. Digital notes through the semester and paper notes to review for tests, finals, and general project planning. After doing one semester all digital, I noticed that even with handwritten digital notes, I was not retaining and reviewing as well as I had hoped. (very interesting from my linguistics major/psychology of language learning and education brain)

For me, I found myself needed more screen space with online classes because there was constant tabs opened and word/ PDFs files that also had to be open to complete an assignment or honestly just keep up with class. With 12.3 inch and at best 2 files open and maybe chrome really small I was kinda losing it. I tried using an old samsung tablet but it was so slow I couldn't do it. In the end I bought an HD Adapter as well and connected it to my TV. Not the best set up as it really zoomed in on the screen but...it freed some space on my laptop so that's good. Online courses are really about figuring out what works for you.

oh yes am I too late to vote for a desktop tour??? :D New subscriber here and slowly catching up to all of your videos. Even though there's many calming and aesthetic vloggers nowadays.. I find your videos relatable and you actually inspired me genuinely to start picking up my Korean again. I have so many textbooks and workbooks with different syllabuses but never got to complete them due to my messy desk.
