Awesome Kritz! I am so excited to be re-reading NOS4A2 for our Fright Club! It is really the perfect Christmas read. Nothing wrong with reading something cozy and romantic once in a while, Legends and Lattes is in my top 10 books of the year. 😀I have heard on booktube that The Island is one of Laymon's better books. I would love to get my hands on Wraith. I loved Jane Eyre as a student, has such dark, gothic vibes. Looking forward to our live show, happy reading! 📚

I missed voting for Fright Club. NOS4A2 is on my TBR though so that’s perfect. So excited for that one! I have so been wanting to read Chopping Spree. It looks amazing. And I can see why that would remind you of the holidays . Black Friday is brutal. I’ll do my Black Friday shopping online TYVM. 😂 The Fright Before Christmas looks so fun! I hadn’t heard of that one. I read the first chapter in nightmare before kissmas, and it doesn't look like I will be able to handle it. I'll give it to page 50 though. It didn't even get to the romance bit really!

I just read Nightmare Before Kissmas for a book club last month. I gave it 3.5 stars. I also have read the Mona Marple series. It’s a fun Christmas cozy- quick and easy read. I have always wanted to read Nos4a2. I think I will join you guys!

There's a subgenre of Nutcracker retelling? There's a Nutcracker play? I'm well behind on the Nutcracker industry, though I did recently see an advert featuring a hip-hop sampling of the Dance of the Plum Fairies (title is approximate)

NOS4A2 was a 5 star for me last December. I like Island, but I’m sure you won’t like it as much as I did 😂 the male mc is ridiculous and the women are wildly unrealistic. ❄️
