Nice stripers made soup the other day with stripers so good probably my favorite fish for that.

@ it’s simple recipe fill a 10qt pot with water put the whole 18”-26 striper in, add 5 pieces all spice , 1carrot whole , 1onion boil for 15min. Once done take everything out debone the fish. Leave the broth Add the fish back to the pot add 5 chopped potatoes, 1 small chopped onion, chopped carrot, 2 bay leaf. 1/2tsp black pepper, 1 cup white rice any, salt to taste, cook for about 30min. Add about 3 tablespoon chopped dill. You can other things if you like. Done yummy

Gave my mom a striper she made ceviche and I guess it was a hit....I dont eat em but them oily fish do well for soup.

The Choppo is basically a Whopper Plopper knockoff which is a great lure for aggressive fish. For these Stripers in December, something a little more subtle with a side to side action is probably more effective but give the Choppo and try and let us know how it does.
