THIS SAVAGE SONG IS SO INCREDIBLE! The concept that violence breeds something bad (monsters) is such a thought provoking idea. Schwab is so unique. She's a queen!

I agree. London Belongs to Me is a lovely, light, uplifting read. We need more books like this one especially right now when the world is a bit depressing and cynical. Great wrap-up Regan. Happy New Year.

This Savage Song was kind of the opposite for me, I absolutely loved ADSOM but This Savage Song was cool but ultimately a meh read. But I think it's so cool that she writes such different stories so they appeal to many different readers, it makes her an easy author to recommend :)

I'm the same when it comes to Victoria schwab's books. I've read 4 of her books so far and Vicious is my fave (also one of my general favorites). Her other books I've read are just okay to me. But since I love Vicious so much I'm willing to keep reading her books for the chance that I'll absolutely fall in love with the book to the same degree as Vicious.

I do think that the problems with the second book in the series of A World Without Princes will be solved in the third one so I can't wait to read that one. To be honest, I expected things to take a completely different direction with the first book already so when I went into the second one I really had a more clear idea of what is Soman's style. He just doesn't go for the clearly outlined moral lesson in his stories... I totally didn't see the ending of the second book coming and I think that everyone in the series has to get their heads on straight because even with villains aside, none of our characters are fuzzy peaches or cinnamon rolls, to be quite honest. Oh, and I'm definitely looking forward to reading Sabriel.

For Sabriel, the way you described the world makes it the exact same world as the one in Niel Gaiman's StarDust.... that too is old England and a fantasy world separated by a wall...
@clairreads19657 жыл бұрын
Alexandra Bowden for Sabriel, imagine that the people on each side of the wall know about each other, but the further from the wall, the less the new kingdom people really believe in the 'magic' from the old Kingdom. They just think 'borderers' are really superstitious.

OMGitsSydneeNicole they're called floating bookshelves! Look them up and it'll be easier to understand, but basically you put a hardcover on the bottom and the dust jacket flap covers the metal shelf part!! Idk if that makes sense haha

I felt much the same about Sabriel and Lirael. I love the concept and the characters, but...the writing just makes it hard to get into the story, and some parts are a bit draggier than others.

Unicorn Hunter Books I also have to agree, I read golden hand a few days ago and though I loved catching up with Sabriel and Lirael, it took a while for the story to get moving, however I feel it's worth the wait as Garth Nix always delivers in the end

Regan, I understand that sponsorships are necessary in order to maintain a Booktube channel but you've mentioned London Belongs to Me in 3 or more videos over the past few weeks. I want you to make money doing the things you love and even don't mind seeing sponsorships in your videos, but seeing the same sponsor repeatedly (as someone who watches almost every one of your videos) is a bit annoying. I don't know if there would be a way for you to do this type of sponsorship differently in the future, it just personally bothers me.
@stephblake15987 жыл бұрын
I think it's great booktubers can make some money doing what they love. I'd rather see a book like this one which came from a small publisher than some of the big 5 publisher books that get sent to every single booktuber on the planet. Let's support the little publishers and the booktubers who take a risk and feature them on their channels.
@chrissy96737 жыл бұрын
Like I said, I really don't mind Booktubers taking sponsorships but I feel like I've heard Regan talk about this book repeatedly across multiple videos which honestly dissuades me from reading the book more than it does persuade me. I suppose it's good marketing considering people don't usually watch every video a creator makes, but for those of us who do watch everything it's like seeing the same commercial over and over again... it's annoying, and seems like there should be a better way to market than just mentioning it repeatedly. This is just my opinion.
@gebbyayala39937 жыл бұрын
Christine Bileau regan spent a lot of time, efforts, thoughts, and maybe even money to produce these contents so we can enjoy free videos. I think you can handle some minor annoyances.
@bibliophilogy7 жыл бұрын
At least it's relevant? Not being rude no way offending anyone but at least when she mentioned the book, it's related to the video that she's doing.
@chrissy96737 жыл бұрын
This is nothing but constructive criticism, guys... I'm not saying that I'm unsubscribing unless she stops doing it, I'm saying that it is personally annoying to me and that maybe in the future she could try to find a better way to do her sponsorships. Make her channel better? Especially for people who are watching a lot of her videos? It's just something that I noticed, that annoyed me, and that I wanted to comment on.
