In the very first G1 episode: "More Than Meets The Eye pt1," Soundwave ejects Rumble and commands "Operation: Tidal Wave." He makes that "waving" hand gesture, and I looped it back and forth a couple times like he's doing the wave. Cause we know Soundwave loves to breakdance! Just ask Lazer!

Technically they are. Soundwave could be considered superior to Megatron only because he knows his place. He is easily Megatron's equal if not greater in terms of physical strength, and is equally intelligent. The reason why he follows Megatron rather than lead himself is because he understands that Megatron can provide what he can't. One could say that Megatron completes him.

@Shokkur Well technically, I'm pretty sure they're using vocoder, which is different from autotune because you need to play through an instrument to produce the robotic sound. Autotune is a software program that (like the name implies) corrects pitches. For vocoder, the pitch is already pre-determined.
