what is the differences between decimate with decimator g ?
@SimonGotthelfMusic4 жыл бұрын
wahyu rahmanto Honestly I am not sure. I bought this one because I needed it and it does the job for me :)
@grahamkelly82993 жыл бұрын
the G version is twice the price, and the reason is the technology is more advanced and the pedal shuts of the noise much quicker between notes and alows more sustain and less tone interference. it is a better version of this pedal. But it would suit a player that needs a better version like a modern metal player

Useful pedal Simon,. must get one...

TheCrystalyne It definetly is. I wanted to try this myself and I think it does a great job. Cheers Simon

Nice demo again Simon. What, if any, change in your tone have you noticed when using this pedal?
@SimonGotthelfMusic5 жыл бұрын
James Thank you 🙏 with this pedal no change at all. I am surprised because I always find something missing with noise Gates/reduction pedals bur this one seems to have none of those issues Cheers Simon

I love my Decimator 2. Is this as good/better? The smaller footprint is really nice.
@SimonGotthelfMusic5 жыл бұрын
Evan Ward To be honest I am not sure. The small footprint is killer and only one knob is just super easy. But I have not had the pedals side by side to compare. I just tried this today because pedaler.eu kept on talking about these pedals. They are great I must admit :) Cheers

@@SimonGotthelfMusic Thanks Simon. I'm thinking about selling my Dec 2 and getting this one. I appreciate your opinion.👍

i always thought the noise reduction pedal goes at the end of the signal chain? does it work right after the guitar then?
@SimonGotthelfMusic3 жыл бұрын
This one does. You can also use it at the end but I mostly use this to clean up the guitar signal and remove unwanted noise before I hit an overdrive pedal. Cheers Simon

@@SimonGotthelfMusic very cool! I ordered one for the same reason, dont need one for the humbucker, just to take the crazy noise from the single coils. Clean power and good quality pedal making will take care of most of the problems

Duuude that tone!....How can I get that tone? What pickups are you using?
@SimonGotthelfMusic5 жыл бұрын
Rodrigo Díaz Thanks man. A good overdrive, a Fender Bassman amp and a strat with Raw Vintage 60s pickups should get you there. Cheers Simon

Hey there, good video. What junction box are you using and are you happy with it? Is it true bypass, buffered, choice for both? I am looking for one for my GigRig G2 pedal switcher and I am not sure about the GigRig Cinco Cinco or even Friedman's expensive Buffer Bay. Also, are you still using the Deci-mate mini? Are you still happy with it. I am thinking of getting one to replace my old Boss NS-2 that completely colors my tone. Thanks
@SimonGotthelfMusic5 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. My Junction box is passive from Free The Tone and it works great for me. I have buffers on both sides of the box so I don´t hear it. I use the Decimate when I need to be dead quiet but my rig is not noisy at all so it is mostly to remove noise from lamps or noisy stages. Cheers Simon

newfiesig yes definetly.

Simon Gotthelf Gear Demos just bought one. Works fairly well in the loop of a JVM205C, however I have to max it out (+10db) to get any real effect.
@SimonGotthelfMusic4 жыл бұрын
newfiesig That sounds a bit strange to me? You mean you have to turn the knob alt the way up to remove the noise from the amp? I haven’t had that experience with the pedal.
@newfiesig4 жыл бұрын
Simon Gotthelf Gear Demos I’m going to contact ISP to discuss. I’ll let you know what they say once I speak to them.
