The interior is original and immaculate, changing alliances from black to white, bought the console cup holder w/power n USB ports, a Dual DVD with split screen GPS, Bluetooth rear camera and power antenna. I'm thinking about mounting a Lincoln antenna I have in a cabinet. Also bought a B&M ratchet shifter. It's been on stands since I built my pilebarn in late 01, I only drove it 2 months the winter of 96/97. I'll leave it patina but may have it painted Sinister Blue Pearl to match my 98 Road King.

I LOVE the Coyote engines...They're an awesome swap for Fox bodies. I'm an import turbo guy, but I love domestics too. I love all cars, but I've always had a special place in my heart for the Fox body. I owned a Thunderbird Supercoupe at one point with the 5 speed manual and I loved it. I had a 92 GT that was alot of fun too, but it was my only Fox and it was before they blew up in price. A year after I sold it they went through the roof. I saw a completely totaled Fox with an intact 302W engine and manual trans for $5000.

They are a great engine and I love more cars than Fox's too, but for now it's my niche. Yeah the prices are insane so that doesn't surprise. I'm glad you got to experience one.

I have my 1988 saleen ive had since 1996 has 135k on it i drive it to work once a week and my 2000 gt 4v swapped. You dont even see any mustang pre 2005 at all these days. Its all the newer coyote cars i see 30 a day in town. Yea they look good but i prefer my older tangs. Got me a 1994 gt convertible that i just started working on im 2nd owner the car had engine pulled and sold. 35th anniversary car with 53k original miles on the body. Thinking 4v swap on it to. Or all stock 5.0 not sure yet

Hey Matt that was a awesome choice to review that SALEEN that thing's pretty sweet I don't think I would change anything on it I like the look & you can drive it and not have to worry about it getting a nic or door ding too bad and I just think it's rad I love the patina look that he's got going with it. that's cool that he's going to road race it and it's going to be pretty quick especially with that blower on it! congrats for getting tarheel as the fox body picture for the Mustang owners museum that's awesome you totally deserve it man and what a great car to represent the fox for us oh and that trunk mat lining was kick ass I definitely want to get one for my car and have "shifty" put in it in red since she's electric Red keep up the great work & videos Matt!!!

Hey Gearhead, I need your advice. It's not a fox body, but I have two Mystic Cobras. Cobra 1 has excellent paint and is in excellent condition for 53K miles. Cobra 2 has 53k miles, also, but I rescued it from Atlanta 3 years ago from the original owner, but it had sat outside for about 12 years, so the clear coat is gone. A mechanic owned it, so the motor and every is good. I've gone back and forth about repainting it Mystic, because it still has a lot of original paint, just a bunch of bare spots on top. I've seriously considered just respraying the clear and keeping it as a survivor car, because I hate the thought of painting over the original paint. I still get compliments on her as she is. But I saw this video and it looks like this guy did pretty much the same thing. Any thoughts? Thank you.

why not restore it ?hate to see a "special"car butchered up ,while it is cool to modify a fox doesnt make sense to do anything but put a saleen back to original.im rebuilding my 89 lx back yet again it wasnt anything but an lx so i can do whatever .but guys please if you find a saleen /cobra please contact me before you modify them ,and as always never mix brands and engines thanks
