To be fair, if Kaiba picks Lord of D as his deck master, ALL of his dragons are protected from card effects. Also Kuriboh as a deck master means that Yugi doesn't take any damage from one attack. That fluff ball can literally save you from an instant kill.

because blue-eyes went to the graveyard kaiba would have lost when he summoned blue-eyes ultimate dragon as his deck master would be i the graveyard also kaiba cheated as he had 3 blue-eyes in his deck even though his deck master counted as a card from his deck which means he had 4 blue-eyes white dragons in his deck

In the anime, if the Deck Master gets replaced, the new card becomes the Deck Master. So fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Link...hell even Tributing would work.

There should be an official deck masters format in yugioh I can imagine it being similar to commander from mtg. Maybe as an additional rule all monsters have to be the attribute as the deck master. For example let’s say I choose dark armed dragon so that means all monsters In my deck have to be dark monsters
