Deck Profile 2021 - Seto Kaiba 5DS Era Deck

Today, we're going to be taking a look at a possible deck profile for everyone's favorite anti-hero, Seto Kaiba, during the events of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5DS!
It's been pointed out to me that the main deck in this video only has 39 cards, which is embarrassing. To correct this, I'm gonna add Kaibaman to the lineup as he was in the profile at one time but got cut.

I really like that you tied this into your Kaiba inventing Synchro summoning idea. The idea of Kaiba evolving the game and even indirectly having some involvement in the creation of D-wheels makes a lot of sense, especially with what happened in Transcend Game. Atem/Yugi may be the King of Games, but Seto Kaiba is the one who takes the game to the next level.

My theory is that Kaiba died in 5D's at Yliaster's hands. Kaiba Corporation was run by Goodwin, who was part of Yliaster. If Kaiba was alive, he would never allow anyone to run his company.

The central conceit of Rush Duels is that you can draw and summon a lot, so Ancient Rules becomes functionally a Normal-Only elementally-agnostic version of cards like Kaiser Sea Horse, Double Coston, Rose Witch, and so on. It'd be a very niche option, but playable in the right deck. Cost Down could also theoretically be useful in a deck with tons of level 5 and 6 monsters since it would allow you to summon 3 of them at once, but it would be a high risk strategy since a deck with mostly tribute monsters either goes off like crazy if you draw your Cost Down or bricks completely if you don't. Either way, Rush Duels are for babies and I hate the entire concept. I stopped watching Yugioh SEVENS after the climax of the Maximum Arc. So if they introduced something new after all this stuff that changes the math, disregard everything I said.

I feel like kaiba would run alternative blue eyes white dragon as well, It makes sense Yugi essentially owns industrial illusions in the manga version of his series and they have a mutual respect after darkside of dimensions (which is following the mangas cannon) and with cooperation with kaiba corp if not kaiba himself who wouldn't think that kaiba would want more blue eyes support cards, espescially when in this video he's given the "eyes of blue" monsters. in duel links kaiba has a special animation and summoning for alternative implying that this version of kaiba would have it. Even if im wrong about that kaiba probably can just make his own cards with his company similar to the Leo corporation.

I'm gonna be honest. I think both Yugi's Xyz and Kaiba's Synchro are Arc V Era. For those who don't know, Kaiba also has a pendulum that isn't Blue-Eyes related. I'm pretty sure it's a pendulum version of chaos emperor

Light-End Dragon is one of Chazz's (Manga) Main Cards from the RA Yellow Pack. I was surprised they turned it into Synchro Monster along with it's Counterpart Dark-End Dragon. Shows that Chazz also does Synchro. There's even a Show Duel with Dan using Xyz & Eric using Synchro Summonings.

I think this deck was great. It includes every facet of Kaiba's strategy, I just with there was a place for Kaiba to play ABC/XYZ, as against weaker opponents, he tends to use his dragons less. Maybe that'd be a separated deck... although, it is an inspired choice to give Kaiba the Trishula synchros. Perhaps next we could see the "old man" decks of DM characters in the XYZ era.

Interesting Deck profile for Kaiba as it is quite similar my 5Ds oc’s Blue-Eyes deck though I tried to use cards that came out during and shortly after 5Ds(the reason my oc uses Blue-Eyes is because he’s a descendant of Kisara and inherited the spirit of BE) On a side note, Kaiba should run First of the Dragons as an alternative Fusion monster to Twin Burst. My oc runs it as almost all of the cards used during 5Ds are effect monsters and First of the Dragons is immune to effect monsters’ effects and can only be taken down by a Normal monster in battle

We need a yugioh 5D's movie where Seto Kaiba travel into the future to stop the 0 requiem on Neo Domino City it would be cool if Dr. Fudo try to help Seto Kaiba to prevent the accident but eventually Antinomy/ Z-One/ Paradox arrived and defeat Seto thus making the 0 requiem happen no matter how Kaiba changes the Future.

There's one other Fusion monster I would have included here and that's "First of the Dragons", a lvl 9 Fusion monster which uses two Normal monsters as materials. It has 2700 Atk and 2000 Def, and has the effect: Must be Fusion Summoned and cannot be summoned by other ways. You can only control one "First of the Dragons". Cannot be destroyed by battle unless by Normal Monsters and is unaffected by other monster effects. A perfect monster for Seto to go into using 2 of his Blue Eyes if he's already used Twin Burst Dragon and has excellent protection from battle (since hardly anyone uses Normal monsters) as well as against hand traps since most of them are monsters.

fists of the unrivaled teni is a card i can see Kaiba running because if its destroyed you can summon any normal extra deck monster from the extra deck. An easy way to cheat out blue eyes ultimate without fusing the blue eyes and use them for other plays. Same goes with waking the dragon that once your opponent removes it you can pull a monster from the deck or extra deck to the field. aHe could use it to pull any blue eyes he would want.

Some of the Synchro Monsters listed would be very impractical to use, as the level combinations and requirements for certain monsters would require the use of Cost down, or a lower level synchro monster used as the material.

The honest card would be good in his deck. Its a light fairy effect monster with 1100 attack and 1900 defense. It's effect let's you return it to your hand during your main phase and during either players turn when a light monster you own battles, you can discard the honest card from your hand to the gy and your battling light monster gains attack equal to the attacking monster. You can just keep it in your hand you don't have to play it to use it's other effect.

I chose this one because I’m curious as possible for an answer to a question. I guess this is less for a collab and more as a writer who loves yugioh to a yugioh fan that loves writing?(I don’t know, we could be the same thing for all I know.) If I were to brainstorm and rough outline(like your GX rewrite level of of fleshing out) a yugioh protag that specializes in ritual summoning in a story that focuses on it as well, would you be interested in reading it? I think kaiba would fit more to be in the ARC-V era as an alternate universe version like atlas or kaito, for he surely would be like yuya or reiji using all types of summoning including ritual, wich neither the protagonist of thar series nor his rival actually ever used. @jericmagnaye2705 yeah Even if we don't actually know how old kaiba really is in 5ds If 5ds is basically just a futuristic city like dubai,new york or tokyo Since we know that seto is 30 years old in GX If 5ds happens after 15 years seto is 45 years old Mokuba would be in his 30s It is not even unconceivable that the zero reverse incident that wipe domino city basically wipe the OG domino city which became satellite or i should say what was left/has been spared

@jericmagnaye2705 When we look at 5ds outside of new domino city we realise that 5ds is actually not that far away Especially during that cow boy town arc We have a huge city at the very peak of its tech and even in advance compare to its other cities giving us an illusion of 5ds being way in the future but when you step a foot out of the city you realise that yes you are in the future but it is not that far away
