This was the first serious deck I built so this made me feel nostalgic. The duels against Dream Mirror, BA Orcust, and Black Luster Invoked were my favorites. All the deck needs now is for Wise Strix to be in that Duel Overload set.

Raidraptors is that deck that has so much to offer for xyz. I feel like it just needs that one card push and it's set. Also megaman has a kick ass soundtrack. Fits perfectly with this video.

Konami should add some of the Anime cards like Retrofit Lanius and Raidraptor Sanctuary. The deck just lacks a bit of consistency and is very vulnerable to hands traps like Nibiru and Ash since it’s very combo reliant and does a lot of searching. On the first duel, he had a way to make Wise Strix, Force Strix and Ultimate Falcon on his first turn and still have his Soul Shave Force for next turn. Ultimate Falcon and pass was safer to avoid hand traps, but even an Ultimate Falcon with materials needs some backup around it. You get stuck with a “Protect the Castle” scenario if you lock out your Extra Monster Zone without putting Wise Strix or a Link monster there. Raidraptors do have an extremely easy time making Cyber Dragon Infinity with Soul Shave Force, but that’s usually takes at least two turns to setup. If your hand is nuts though, you can pull it off on turn one. You just need to avoid Fuzzy Lanius and Raidraptor Call when you’re trying to setup other cards since they do lock you into your archetype for a turn. That being said, the arechtype does still have extremely good boss monsters and can flood the board fairly easily. Ultimate Falcon is still one of the top boss monsters in the game and even scarier when he has his materials on him. The archetype is also really good at recycling and reusing cards from the graveyard, so your big birds can come back to the field within a turn or two and your Rank-Up and small birds are pretty easy to put back in your hand. I might’ve gone off on a tangent a bit. This has still been my favorite archetype ever since I started playing. Even with all of this though, it does still need a bit of help. Brick hands will almost always lose you a duel, unless you’re playing some backrow to buy some time. You can usually push through an Ash if your trying to bait it and/or chaining cards correctly. However, a well timed Ash and a lack luster hand can still end your turn pretty easily. Nibiru just destroys combo decks and Raidraptor is definitely a heavy combo deck. Personally, I think there are few things the archetype still needs. It could use some searchable negates and some extra draw and/or search power since you invest a ton of resources to get your board set up and brick hands just make you lose. The archetype does definitely need a small push to smooth it out. It would also help if Konami gave us a bigger extra deck. It’s getting way too crowded...
