FYI: Decked Tech Support recommends NOT using this video as a reference, and the instructions kinda suck too so here are a few golden tips. A. Use the longer bolts on the small cab ammo cans and the shorter bolts on the larger rear ammo cans. B. Because of the engineering genius involved, ONLY the bed covers are marked with any sort of orientation, so be damn sure the center spine is facing the right direction or you WILL install it backwards! The numbers and letters at the bottom of the ammo cans mean NOTHING, so don't try ad figure them out. C. The screws are extremely cheap and aluminum (probably to prevent rust but my bed is covered) so you'd be wise to go buy a couple quality back ups as some will not fit correctly. Do not force a tight screw. Try a different screw or replace it. D. Working on the Deck System at waist level is orgasmic by comparison to the ground. Use a work horse, fork lift or however you can get it up. E. Tech support is super fast and super friendly, but I'm not quite convinced they have ever actually built one themselves? F. Any You Tuber who claims they snapped it all together with no issues is a damn liar.

Mine had the wrong stickers for the driver/passenger side on the deck. Got the whole damn thing together, and into the bed (almost, would not fit right). The top deck was backwards/reversed. Had to take it apart and flip it all around. A real PITA.

Awesome video!! I did read the instructions, BUT and it's a big but...I just followed this video! Super easy and simple. Set my drill to lower settings and got it done. No friend was close, so I lifted it myself and got it installed in my 2019 Nissan Titan. Next purchase is the cargoglide. Great video and great product!!!

Watched the video a few times before I started my install (2023 F150). It was a bit cloudy, and I think a few of the plans have changed, but this was still a good resource. The whole install took me around 2.5 hours. The biggest part of that time was me taking off one of my tow strap hooks in the truck, a day after having a spray-in liner put in only to realize the instructions have changed and you don't need to completely replace these hooks any more. Decked has redesigned the J-Hook for the cab side. I love it already.

Hey there. Any modifications to our system (panels or ammo can) does void our warranty and the overall structural integrity of the system. Unfortunately we cannot advise on that specific fitment/modification as we haven't done it. You might also consider mounting the air compressor on the deck panel itself. 👊

Can it be put in over a bed liner, gmc sierra 5’8” box or do you have to remove it
@Decked
@Decked 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Steven! We designed the DECKED Drawer System with spray-in bed liners in mind. We have taken into account the normal additional volume and created enough lateral space to accommodate a spray-in liner. If you have a plastic liner, it will need to be removed. DECKED also works with Bed Rug mats -- just be aware it will be a very snug fit, and initially the wheels will wear on the rug until they wear through enough to roll smoothly. As far as the Bed Rug full liner goes, it will be very snug and we don't really recommend it, especially if there is a spray in liner as well.

@Decked
@Decked 3 жыл бұрын
Hey there Steve. Never say never but since the center vert is a critical structural element, we will likely never have a drawer system that is compatible with a gooseneck. We have also never customized a system for a flatbed truck. However, we are coming out with a more traditional crossover style toolbox in January 2021. It will be gooseneck compatible and has our typical DECKED features and benefits. Stay tuned!
@stevesmith8107

@@Decked I understand the structure issue. After see how the system is assembled. I assume this more traditional unit works by having drawer system between a goose hitch an the tailgate ? @@Decked looks like it's probably this typical tool box with a built in ladder: www.theengineblock.com/decked-new-products-and-applications-post-sema-2019/ Not really interested in that. If you had a stacked set of drawers between the tailgate and wheel wells that fit under a hard tonneau cover I'd be interested in that. Like 2 rows of 2 or two rows of 3 drawers. It would have to be able to be secured down so a locking tailgate would still provide security but would in theory be easier to remove than the current full bed system.

@@Americanmafia1 without buying the data from the manufactures, we don't have access to the specs of every truck out there. From your dimensions though you would likely want to check out a 6' midsize truck. Absolute pain in the ass to put together. Boxes are cheezee. They do not snap closed very well. You need to put them together yourself. About a third of the drawer does not pull out, so it's kind of useless. You lose half your bed depth and another 15٪ minimum to drawers that don't pull out, so kiss 65% of you truck bed goodbye. Don't buy any extra stuff, not needed in my opinion. Wouldn't buy it again. Would send it back if I could. I'll make a video shortly. I built my own for my last truck for 1/3 the cost, wish I had again.

Sorry to hear that you weren't a fan! Yes, we have our users install them theirselves. This saves the customer big money on shipping! As for the Drawer Extension, we try to be as clear about this as possible on our site. Each drawer can hold up to 200 lbs and full extension would place too much upward pressure on the top of the deck. While also compromising the 200 lb payload of each drawer. You won't lose your truck bed! What you lose in bed depth, you gain in organized storage under the deck. You can haul just about anything you used to with the ability to ratchet strap items down on top of the Deck. Which has a 2,000 lb payload! The accessories are what you make of them. If you utilize them to their full potential, you may have enjoyed this system more. The CrossBox and D-Boxes can be packed for certain occasions. Create a grab and go environment for work, or for play. We get that our systems aren't for everybody. Hoping that you can give the System another shot!

@@Decked I'm going to do an independent review in a couple of weeks after I kind of figure out how to use the space at the end of every drawer. I'm thinking if I removed the front wheels I could pull that drawer all the way out. I should have just made another 1. The 1 I made you could pull all the way out and I had a piece of wood on top of the deck that you could put over the drawers and turn the drawers into a big giant work table.
