Misplays do happen, but he had 3 potentially turn ending interruptions against you and he used all 3 on the worst points possible. Honestly, this kind of Empty Jar deck is something I'd be very happy to see play out if I were the opposing player. I see ten minute Drytron turns all the time, that's no fun and they all look the same; you see someone try to crack out Empty Jar, you won't see that again and likely have no idea how they plan to get it to work, ABSOLUTELY I'm sitting through every moment of this one.

I remember a duel where I dueled a Prank-Kids player with my FTP plant deck. I didn't draw a single monster for 5 turns and every one of my searches got Ash Blossomed. Somehow they bricked so hard that I didn't lose despite only having 1 disruption trap per turn, and no other cards on the field. Then I won due to a network disconnection.

@@TamerSpoon3 I don't know if they would, like alot of people I know use meta decks to try and get plat 1 so they cause use worse decks and no derank, the problem with banning meta decks in a casual is that newer players could use it to practice, and a meta deck is only good if someone knows how to use it, I honestly think people would just get bored using full power Drytron against someone using his 2008 hero deck he really likes to play. I know in duel links I played 3 casual duel with Cyber when I started playing and got bored after those 3 easy wins. If I beat a deck in ranked now (back in gold) it doesn't feel that great when I check their deck and it's trash.

I feel that you should brick with that deck more. Granted a lot of cards I remember the picture but not the effect. Amazing if not exaggerated that the deck has no losses. My flip effect deck is a def build around filling our fields and going into a MJ#2 infinite loop. The purpose of it is to send all the spell traps to the GY before out waiting them for a win. But my lack of hand traps or answers to them mean many losses. I saw no real way to stop opponents effects in your main deck and figured that would cost you more often.

Ran into a Virtual World player and decided to not even bother with the aggravation two moves in. Hit Gold yesterday, and got so fed up with the shenanigans I was coming across I just caved and crafted a Maxx C and Nibiru. Would've been able to draw about 10 cards off one guy with Maxx C, but he had a Macro Cosmos active so I couldn't even use it.

I even got FTKd by a guy using try-brigade with a XYZ monster that when he reached 10 materials he would automatically win the game, and he did, giving 7 materials from another XYZ. The VW player was probably either learning how to pilot or just using a TCG variant of the deck. Either way they should've done a deepdraw with charge warrior off of Lulu and Jiji, followed by Crocodragon, but there isn't much that could've been done after your taiyou hit the field.

Flip Effects are mandatory once they activate. Think of it this way, flip effect activates even though they are sent to the graveyard when destroyed by battle because the game is programmed where the effect already resolve once it was flipped up.

Disclaimer not virtual world player, but I'm pretty sure for virtual world combo they need all their resources turn 1 just to get to vfd. That's why most of the time you see them ending their combo with one vfd and maybe another monster on the board with 1 back roll. Going into trishula is only useful if you want to deny your opponent resource next turn at the cost of them loosing at least one extra draw from going into cocodragon; which could be the resource they'll need to go to vfd. Plus once the very friendly dragon hits the board it doesn't really matter too much whether your opponent has that extra card or not, so having trishula is more of a win more card that takes up extra deck space.

Since u are using decks from your old videos, I suggest looking back at the bone tower mill FTK using zombie support (i.e zombie world) and small zoo engine to xyz summon bunch of zombie type monster to mill their whole deck. Still vulnerable to ash or nib but mezuki kinda brings back stuff plus u wont give them handtraps like empty jar.

@@CyanJimbo I am willing to debate the focus of extra deck monsters. Their are literally more ways to stop a summon from there than there is a norm set. I just see the forest of options so its easy to overlook the tree of choice. I find it hard to rely on the extra deck for anything really... terrible luck or timing might be the why; but it never works in my favor to rely on the extra deck; people stop what I need most of the time. Now my set it and pass moves work better for me consistency wise because I give my opponent less options in my turn to stop me. But again personal experience is why I argue the utility of the extra deck for being what search being a positive.
