I just paired the Stolen Child Tarot with Coastal Curiosities - such a great combo both visually and descriptively! Although the titles sometimes throw me because both decks have different ways of interpreting the cards than I do. So I sometimes have to use the guidebooks before I understand the imagery on the card. But that’s me, I’m super literal and when my brain sees a mismatch I go down a rabbit hole trying to puzzle it out. For example, in Stolen Child, the 6 of Flame (wands) doesn’t mean victory, it’s associated with public perception and “fake it til you make it” energy. And in CC, the Timid card keywords include “brave” and speak to being mindful in the way you take action to move forward, and shining a light in the darkness. The imagery on the cards works with the guidebook meanings, so I think it makes a pretty good intuitive combo and I’m inspired to practice reading them that way, rather than trying to make them fit with the card titles. It’ll be a fun and interesting exercise. So lovely!
