I started my tarot journey with the Thoth and the Tabula Mundi is one of my all-time favourites. It reads wonderfully, and the book is a great help. It's absolutely worth studying it in-depth. If you know the decans, you'll find it easier to read with the deck. 8 of Disks is associated with the first decan of Virgo: the Sun is in Virgo, and that explains the six-pointed star and the radiant light and warmth. Prudence means that you have a goal and reach it patiently. Wait until the time is ripe. Wait until things come to fruition. The tree trunk in the Ace of Cups reminds us of the Tree of Life, and the black hole in it is Daath, the hidden and unknowable sephirah between Chochmah and Bina. It's possible to read with the deck just using your knowledge of the core meanings (you should know Thoth though, not RWS) and jumping off the symbols, but a basic knowledge of kabbalah, astrology and the decans will help you unlock it. It's a teaching deck - I learned everything I know about tarot through the Thoth and Tabula Mundi. M.M. Meleen's books and podcast are brimming with knowledge, wisdom and beauty. So get the book if you can, and enjoy the journey.

El Dios de los Tres is the name of the artist - he's a Spanish artist who made a tarot deck, but idk if he's actually a reader. I agree that the LWB is basically useless, but the artwork is incredible and the deck reads well for me. It's a really potent deck, and absolutely one of my favorites!

I love that you’ve been doing this since the 90’s, btw, I got my first deck in 1998 at a yard sale but I didn’t really start reading for realsies until 2010. And I had aThoth deck right after my RWS, but never fully committed to studying it’s system. I’ve dabbled, and would still read with them intuitively, but it’s high time I do it properly!

Sweet twilight is a deck never pulled me off the cliff but it keeps me on my tip toes

You have to have Book M to understand the Tabula mundi, and then you are opened up to so many cool things. It actually has become my favorite, deepest deck once reading the book ...
