3:37 I’d like to point out that if torbran and a damage multiplier are both on the field at the same time, you do not get to choose when to apply the extra 2 damage from torbran unless you are targeting your own creature. The player receiving the damage or the controller of the creature taking the damage does. For example, say we have fiery emancipation and torbran out. I bolt an opponent’s creature. The way WE want it to go is 3+2 times 3 for 15 but the opposing player will most likely decide it will be 3x3 + 2 for 11. With that said, you will still hit the table for 35 because of FE, torbran and Imodane, so it’s still not a bad deal lol

This does make stuffy doll and brash taunter and even better deal. Because that means at least for the first round of damage we can opt to deal 15 to either of the listed creatures, meaning we could deal 47 DMG (not to mention the extra DMG from the stuffy doll/taunter)

I'm seeing Toralf on a lot of lists for this deck, but the spillover damage is done by Toralf, which wouldn't trigger Immodane. It's still nice free damage, but I ended up cutting it.

I think the synergie is more about the dmg doublers

@@Imperaldra Sure, that's reasonable for X spells, but in my experience Toralf adds some damage, but doesn't take advantage of Immodane so its harder to justify a spot versus another X or 2 mana burn spell. Yeah I can use it to clear a good amount od creatures, but then I need to have brash taunter/stuffy doll out to continue to damage on my next turn. My burn spell priority is 1. Dangerous threats on their side 2. Brash/Stuffy 3. Their other creatures 4. Dominus (with indestructible token) 5. Worst case scenario, my own creatures.

@@helix7283 The vids example says 5dmg to a 1/1 turns into 10 damage, then 20 damage on the next creature. Wouldn't it be 10, then 18(due to 9 leftover)? Then continue to decline as you go? What am I missing?

Into the Maw of Hell doesn't work because it targets a land also and Imodane wants only a single creature

I think you should also be running Koth. He gets big quick and even his -3 is crazy and his +2 helps with hitting land drops.

New Koth's -3 and Ult don't help the overall strat because neither trigger Imodium's ability. But you're very correct about the land drops part.

That could definitely be a solid way to have a higher top end on the deck! I kinda wanted to hide us being a threat so our commander might have a better shot on making it around the table haha

Man it's hard to choose between her and Solphim. Both offer humongous damage potential and can control the board in a way Red usually struggles to. Solphim can give herself Indestructible and so can afford to nuke the board with stuff like Blasphemous Act, while Imodane is pointing a lot of damage at creatures in order to do damage to players.

Pretty sure Into the Maw of Hell doesn't trigger Imodane, since the spell has to target a single creature (not a creature and a land)

You really should make room in the list for a few equipments from among: Warhamster, Collar, Skull, Bone, Orb, Cleaver, and Spear. And don't forget Witch's Clinic. I can't think of many things in Magic funnier than a MonoR EDH sitting pretty at 100+ life.

There is one thing you have to be careful of (I may or may not have accidentally killed myself bc of this). If you have repercussion out and then you meteor your stuffy doll then you also take 13 dmg plus of you have Fiery Emancipation out you can kill everyone including yourself drawing the game

I actually started building Imodane before people realized how great she can be if you give her plenty of fuel and mana. Then I see lots more people building her and I just feel nice that it’s more niche and not many people expect her as a commander

Not enough new and unique cards for the burn archetype. Any new cards would be some sort of damage multiplier or another lightning bolt variation. It’d be 98% reprints. Which is fine, but not the model wizards is using for their precon EDH decks
