here's my theory: the "kids don't wanna come home" mv had the same layout where all these people walked behind declan in the middle of the street. except now in "rapture", it's the same kids, just older. they're adults now, and they're going crazy because the world twisted their minds and they will never be the same. they lost their childhood, and now they're going mad. i'm willing to bet that the next mv will be very chaotic, symbolizing the end of the world as we know it.

I feel like Rapture also encapsulates growing up and being told what to believe, by what's on TV and religion by our parents. As you grow older, you try to break free from what others tell you and form your own opinion. The people following Declan are fighting because they have all these conflicting ideas in their head, and Declan is sort of guiding them forward. Maybe the fact that they're following him is also insinuating that we follow his lead for guidance but are also just blindly following rather than thinking for ourselves. Or maybe he represents having your own path to follow; moving past the chaos. At least that's what I got from it, I dunno.
