My other passion is decluttering, purging, organizing and making my house into a home. I LOVE IT. I've put years of thought and practice into how our brains work when it comes to decluttering, just like Marie Kondo and her Konmari method and in this video, I share my personal insights into how we can keep our craft supplies under control. Thank you so much! I have been putting off a purge of my craft items for years because it was overwhelming. I kept moving to different places around my house to actually create because I didn't clean the previous area, I just put my scraps in a box. My husband put his foot down and bought a bunch of huge clear plastic bins. He put all my stuff in them and said that if I need something at least I can see what I have. That was so sweet. However, now he winds up relocating the bins all the time because they are in his way. I have been formally moved to the basement, he bought me a real work bench, set up my lights and tools and... My plastic bins are still a mess and I claim that I'm scared in the basement so I don't have to purge and organize. I have 2 large dogs, I'm not afraid because they are always with me. Because of my husband not throwing my supplies away and helping me so much, I feel so selfish. Because of your video, it doesn't overwhelm me anymore!! I have your plan and I'm so happy to get started in the morning!!! It's not that bad at all! Thank you with a big hug!!

Best purging video I’ve found! I now understand the methods for doing a proper purge. Done one before and actually got rid of stuff I actually needed and kept stuff I really dont like!!😱 my approach was all wrong. This time round it will be much better. Thank you for this awesome video!

After watching you video I decided to purge my stamp collection. I did but it has taken me a couple of days. Then I watched your Konmari Craft Room Purge video and realized that the number of stamps that I purged equaled your entire collection plus some. That's when I realized that I had gone overboard with my stamp collection and your video will be a big help to me when I'm tempted to purchase a new stamp set. Thank you for your videos. They will be a big help to me as I continue my purge.

Jenn: watched your purge video first & enjoyed it. Thought about it and dedided to watch this video as well. I am at stage 1, I still am happy with my rather large collection, however I have it organized & nicely displayed in my craft room. It makes me happy. However, during a recent reorganization it was abundantly (pun indended) that I had enough. I have enough paper, stamps, markers, & ribbon. As you said, I have learned that I don't need to buy more - my pleasure comes from the purchases, especially that discounted purchase. Thank you for saying that. Thank you for making these videos, I feel refreshed having watched them. You have a delightful presentation style & appreciate that you have thought this through. I have been thinking it through as well & at this point you have helped me to understand that I am accomplishing something by stoping the inflow.

I've been trying to declutter my house using the Konmari technique for a while now but I've been having a hard time because "does it spark joy" or "is it useful/have a purpose" hasn't completely worked for me. Hearing your statements​ about an item's expiration date and the analogy to the leek was just what I needed. This video has been the single best video on solving my problems with Konmari and was just what I've been searching for. I watched your video where you purged your craft supplies yesterday. I LOVED what you said about asking yourself if you would pay full retail price for it. I watched part of the video in the morning. I tackled a dresser/room divider yesterday. It wasn't all craft supplies but I was THRILLED when it was done. Today I am going to mske a 3rd or 4th pass at my paper. I don't reach for patterned paper. I usually stamp, stencil, or paint my backgrounds. I have given away half or more of my paper but I think more is going today.

It is hard to purge an item if it cost quite a bit or would ever need to replace it. Sometimes items are discontinued, so you can't replace them.

This was actually really helpful! Ive been meaning to purge for a while because, like you said in your last note, I bought supplies for the purpose of fulfilling the want to buy them and I have yet to use them! One thing you didn't mention that I'd be interested in hearing your opinion about is that once I do purge, I put items in boxes and I'm ready to get rid of them... But HOW I'm going to get rid of them is still the question. Do I sell them? Online? In a yard sale? Do I give them away? And with this question, the boxes stick around forever bc I know I don't want them but I can't decide whether to just give them away (and lose that money) or save them up to sell to try to gain some money back. What do you think? TFS!
