So great to see you!! This video was helpful to me. Probably because it was such a mish-mash of stuff. My husband and I have been married for almost thirty years, and both of our kids are out of the house now...but their stuff (and ours) has really accumulated. And most of it is random stuff we used at one point, still in decent shape, but not useful for us now. It's a bit discouraging when we look at it all, because there is SO much to declutter. But, this video makes me feel like we can start with just some of it, and even that will help!

This was an unexpected pleasure :-) I hope that the move goes well. We moved to a new flat last year and because we had really embraced minimalism, it took only 2 hours to load everything into the loading van and only an hour to load it into the new flat. The feeling of having the space to move things around and decide where you want everything is so much better than if you have lots and lots of stuff crammed in. It is amazing and really sets you up to enjoy your new space.

It is always amazing what can be decluttered from the house-even when you/I have decluttered over 5 or more years. And I am always amazed how my feelings for things change over time-what is essential becomes nar... what is sentimental becomes just another thing.

Hi Sarah....a new move, how exciting! I remember those photos on the wall. I liked them. I took things off my wall and donated them so I could put up photo boards of my family. So much nicer to look at memories than something from a store. Glad to see a video❤

I’m so happy that you posted this. Honestly, there has been a lot of minimalist content where it’s not so cut and dry and people are keeping things that they use regularly and that is where I’m having an issue in my house. So to see you getting rid of things that you still use but like you said you want to have the beauty of the house be seen and not so much worried about the decor is what I needed to hear today. Just a tip that command strips are so much easier and better to use than nails for artwork. And you'll be amazed at how the x-large ones can hold pretty heavy artwork! Anyway, just wanted to share 😄

I enjoyed hearing the reason you were letting go of these items, some of which meant something to you previously, but that now do not hold the same meaning. I am working on this myself.
